Part 6

"Yui-san, catch this!"

"Ah! It hit me! Now my clothes are all wet! Hideaki-kun, you perv!"

"You don't sound very angry though, Yui-chan~!"

"Stop that, Hideaki-kun~! Catch this! Hyaaa!"

The water balloon hit me right in the face, knocking me down cold on the floor.

"A-Ah, are you okay, Hideaki-kun?"

Yui stood above me, letting me take in all the glory from underneath.

She's even checking to see if I'm fine.

"W-Woah! I slipped!"

Yui's face is now mere inches away from mine, our faces looking more like tomatoes.

"H-Hideaki-kun, I-I...!"

She leans in closer!

Is this the moment I've been longing for my whole life?!

Slap!

"Gah! What the hell?"

Following the violent treatment I just received, my mind snapped back to reality.

But I couldn't sit up...

I opened my eyes...

I felt like I should be angry at whoever woke me up from my incredible dream, but the sight in front of me was almost as unbelievable.

The first thing I saw waking up was...

Ryuko was straddling my waist...

"Ah, you're finally awake-"

"Do you have any idea what you're doing?!?!?! How did you get in here?!"

Ryuko walked down from the bed and patted her clothes straight.

"Of course I know what I'm doing! I'm the Pandemonic Chaos, after all! I just got here by letting your mother permit my entry!"

"No, let's ignore the latter question for now. What do you think you're doing on my bed just now?"

"Hmm? Was it something unusual?"

"Very!"

"I thought such behavior would not be amiss between contractors."

"Don't call it a 'contract' anymore, it sounds like I'm doing something illicit! Anyways, doing that thing you did with the opposite sex is a no-go unless you really intend to! Every guy's gonna get the wrong idea!"

"I did intend for it to happen, though?"

"That's not the way I meant it! Whatever, just don't do it from now on."

"Noted. It is in my best interest to not sour this contract, after all."

"I just said to- Whatever. What are you doing here, then?"

"I planned to wake you up so we could walk to school together."

"Why?"

"I said this before, didn't I? To deepen our contract?"

Is this really how it is?

Will my life just be trying to keep up with people like this?

"Fine, whatever. Now get out of my room so I can get changed."

And so, just like that, my daily routine of walking to school and walking home with Ryuko was fully established.
