"Maa.. aur kitna time lagega?", Sidharth asked in an irritated tone.
"Chup!! Disturb mat kar.. main kuch bhool jaaungi toh?", Said Lakshmi.
"Maa.. meri boss mujhe late se aane par zinda gaadh degi..", said Sidharth.
"Haan pata hai mujhe teri boss kaisi hai.. meri bahu ko yu hi badnaam kar raha hai..", Lakshmi scolds.
"Maaa.." he whined but Lakshmi shoves a spoonful of food into his mouth before he shuts it.
"Kaisi bani hai?", She asks.
"Ummm...", Sidharth munches on it while Lakshmi impatiently glares at him.
"Ab jaldi batayega. Kaisi bani hai?", She chastises him.
"Acchi hai.. thoda sa namak kam hai..", he says.
"Haaye Raam.. dekha? Isiliye mein bol rahi thi ki mujhe disturb mat kar.", She sprinkles a little bit of salt over the food and mixes it. Sidharth looks at her with an unamused expression and rolls his eyes.
"Muh khol aur ab bata?", She said shoving yet another spoonful of food into his mouth.
"Umm.. ab thik hai.. apni aulaad pe bhi kabhi itna pyaar barsa diya karo..", he says.
"Achcha? Baat toh aise kar raha hai jaise roz tujhe khaana pados ki Rekha khilaati hai aur main toh tujhe baasi khaana khilaati hoon.. Roz toh tere liye garam garam khaana banati hoon na? Tujhe maine kal Shehnaaz ki dekhbaal ki zimmedari di thi, aur tune usse mere waapis aane se pehle hi ghar se bhagaa diya. Bimaar hai, usse ghar ka khaana bhejwa rahi hoon toh tere badan mein kyu aag lag gayi?", Lakshmi blabbers in anger.
"Bhagaa diya ka kya matlab hai? Madam khudh gayi hai, mujhe bina bataye. Bas ek note choddke gayi thi jo maine kal hi aapko dikhaayi thi. Ab jaldi se uska tiffin de do warna isko yahi chodd jaunga..", he warns.
"Naalaayak!! Maine itne mehnat se apne bahu ke liye khaana banaya aur tu usse yahi choddke jaayega? Tera iss ghar mein entry band kar dungi.", Lakshmi pulls his ears and scolds him.
"Aaahhh.. maa.. aap mujhe apne school ke bachchon ke jaise kyu treat kar rahi hai? Le jaunga mere khaan chodd do..", shrieked Sidharth.
Lakshmi smirks and starts filling the tiffin box while Sidharth frowns with a pouty face and waits.
"Yeh le.. aur khabardaar isse Kaamini ya phir kisi aur ko khilaya toh!", Lakshmi warns him handing over the tiffin box.
"Nahi dunga meri maa.. ab jaau?", Sidharth speaks annoyed.
"Haan.. jaa.. sambhal ke", said Lakshmi.
Sambhalna toh ab mujhe hoga uss sherni se. Aaj phir se late ho gaya. Pata nahi kya bholegi? Ab tak toh coffee na milne pe pura office pe bulldozer chala chuki hogi. Maa ka tiffin jaate hi saamne rakh dunga. Maa hi uske gusse ko kam kar sakti hai..
He spoke to himself starting his bike after clasping his helmet.
Sidharth ordered her favourite hot brewing coffee from Starbucks and marked the important headlines from the newspaper while it got ready. He picked up the coffee before entering the corporate floor. Everyone looked at him oddly. James and Vicky smirked looking at him making him nervous as to what was awaiting him in her cabin.
"May I come in, Ma'am.", He knocked at the door.
"Yes", came the reply.
"Good morning Ma'am.. your coff...", He paused looking at an empty coffee cup on her desk.
"You are too early Mr. Sidharth Malhotra, I already had my coffee..", she said sarcastically.
"Woh.. woh.. sorry.. aapke news..", he tried laying the newspapers but he saw a bunch of newspaper already lying on the desk which was today's and were highlighted too.
