There was a knock on her cabin door in the afternoon.

"Come in..", said Shehnaaz.

Siddharth walks in with a lunch bag and an envelope. She looks at him with a straight face. He forwards her the envelope and she stares at it.

"Yeh kya hai? Resignation toh tum de chuke ho already.", She asked.

"Aapke office mein jaldi vacancy hone wali hai, toh main advance mein job application likh ke laaya hoon.", Said Sidharth.

"Aisi kaunsi vacancy hone wali hai jiska mujhe pata nahi?", Asked Shehnaaz.

"Woh aapka peon/office boy job choddke apne gaon jaa raha hai kheti baadi karne. Toh main uss position ke liye apply karna chahta hoon..", said Sidharth.

"Hmmm..", she leans forward and takes the envelope. He smiles happily. Opening the envelope she reads the resume. She then folds it again while passing a cold stare at him and tears the paper into pieces.

"What the hell?", Sidharth screams in shock.

"Application rejected!", She says while throwing the bits into the dust bin and resumes her work.

"Par kyu? Subah tumne khudh kaha tha ki agar koi vacancy hogi toh sabse pehle mujhe hi consider karogi.", He cried.

"Well, even though I hate repeating myself, I will still repeat my words which I spoke to you in the morning. Agar future mein aapke layak koi position hogi toh will consider you but abhi ke liye we don't have any positions.", She said.

"Haan.. toh maine bhi toh wahi kaha. Vacancy toh hai.", Said Sidharth.

"All this time, I thought my father couldn't go wrong in hiring you but you proved me wrong. As a personal secretary you are expected to have utmost quality of attention to detail. Since you've proved that you don't have that quality, let me point out myself. You missed the most important point 'Aapke LAYAK koi position hogi toh..' Layak samajhte ho? Layak ka matlab suitable!! Aap iss job ke liye over qualified ho. Moreover aapke pass koi similar work experience bhi nahi hai. So sorry Mr. Sidharth Malhotra. Better luck next time.", She said strictly.

"Tum mujhe job dena hi nahi chahti. Kaha likha hai ki over qualified hona galat hai? Tum iske fayde bhi toh dekho. Imagine tumhara Rihaan agar kisi din bimaar padh gaya ya phir usko malaria/dengue/typhoid ho gaya, ya phir kisi bus, train ya truck ke neeche aake parlok sidar gaya toh tum itne kam samay mein dusra secretary kaha se doondogi? Toh agar mujhe tumne office boy rakha toh main tab dono role nibhaa lunga. Aur haan, iske liye main jyada salary bhi nahi maangunga..", argued Sidharth.

Shehnaaz bit the insides of her lips to control her laughter and kept a cold face for a while until her desire to laugh subsided.

"Rihaan is perfectly healthy and fit. I don't think we'll need any contingency plan. I suppose you should try applying for better jobs outside and focus on your career.", She said.

"Argghhh..", he bangs the tiffin box on the table in frustration. She flinches in her seat and then glares at him by narrowing her eyebrows.

"Mr. Sidharth Malhotra.. behave yourself! What is this?", Yelled Shehnaaz.

"Mujhe attention to detail sikha rahi thi kuch der pehle, ab tumhaari attention to detail kahaan hai? Dabba hai.. lunch box.. tumhaare liye.. khaa lena..", he said.

She quietly stared at him with her hands crossed against her chest.

"Aur haan.. achcha na lage toh kisi gali ke kutte ko khila dena par khabardaar agar isse apne Rihaan ko khilaane ki koshish bhi kiya toh..", he warned angrily before stomping towards the door.
