"Maa, chaliye khaana khaate hai..", said Shehnaaz. Lakshmi nods getting up from the bed.

"Sidharth?", Asked Lakshmi.

"Bhim ko bhejha hai bulaane", said Shehnaaz.

"Hmm.. chalo phir.", Said Lakshmi and they both went downstairs to the dinning hall. Lakshmi looked around the dinning area while Shehnaaz went to the kitchen to check.

"Ghee kaha hai?", Asks Shehnaaz to her maid, Reena.

"Woh waha..", Reena points towards the shopping bag.

"Abhi tak open nahi kiya isse? Jaldi se open karo..", orders Shehnaaz.

"Ji Madam, yeh sab khaana table pe set kar deti hoon, phir open karti hoon.", Said Reena.

"Yeh main karti hoon, tum jaake ghee open karo, warna late ho jaayega.", Shehnaaz said to Reena. Reena nods and gets to work while Shehnaaz sets the table.

Sidharth came downstairs to the dining hall and occupied an empty seat randomly, getting on with the work in which he was a super expert. That's adoring at Shehnaaz's face with his head resting on his hand, his elbow pressed on table, as she kept the final dish on the table. She ignored his love sick puppy acts, setting the three plates on the table.

"Maa aap yaha baitye.. waha aapke bete ke liye plate lagaya hai..", Shehnaaz directs Lakshmi to the seat where her father once sat. That place which belongs to the head of the family.

"Woh toh tumhara seat hai na Shehnaaz?", Said Lakshmi.

"Nahi.. woh seat head of the family ka hai, jo yaha aap ho.. meri seat yeh raha, hamesha se.. yakeen nahi aata toh yeh dekhiye", she points at the carvings on chair. It read Shehnaaz on the top.

"Bachpan mein ek din papa ke ek friend apne family ke saath humaare ghar dinner pe aaye the. Tab unka beta mere chair pe bait gaya. Mujhe yaha papa ke pass baitna toh maine usse kaha ki yeh meri chair hai. Toh woh kehne laga ki ispe toh tumhara naam nahi hai. Naraz hoke main uss din bina khaana khaaye so gayi thi. Uske agle hi din papa ne mera naam ispe carve karaya.", Shehnaaz giggled reminiscing her childhood which brought smiles on both Sidharth and Lakshmi's face.

Shehnaaz ran her hand on the carving on the other chair, her smile fades.

"Jab mumma humein chhor ke chali gayi, tab papa ne ye Mumma carve karaya, taaki mujhe unki kami mehsoos na ho aur humara parivar adhuri na lage. Papa Mumma se bahut pyaar karte the aur usse bhi jyada mujhse, isiliye unhone mumma ke jaane ke baad kabhi dusri shaadi nahi kiya. Sidharth gets up wanting to embrace and console her but before he could reach, Lakshmi had already hugged her as she was closer.

"Main jisse bhi pyaar karti hoon, woh sab mujhse dur ho jaate hai. Zaroor main bhagwaan ke hate list mein hongi.", Shehnaaz mumbled in Lakshmi's arms.

"Aisa nahi hai bachcha, main aur Sid..", Lakshmi pauses as she realises her son was also responsible for her pain. Lakshmi looked at Sidharth over Shehnaaz's shoulder, who had guilt and pain in his eyes. He hung his head down in embarrassment.

"Tumhara pata nahi par main zaroor uske hate list mein top karti hoon", Lakshmi cried dramatically to lighten both her children's mood.

"Huh?", Shehnaaz immediately pulled out and looked at her totally puzzled.

"Aur nahi toh kya? Main yahi tumhaare saath khadi hoon, phir bhi main tumhe dikh nahi rahi. Warna mujhe toh galat fehmi thi ki tum mujhse bahut pyaar karti ho..", said Lakshmi.
