Shehnaaz stood in front of the showcase in Sidharth's room. In her hand was the 2017's King and Queen award which they had won as a couple in their college. Her lips formed a curve as she caressed it delicately with her hand.

A pair of hands embraced her waist from behind and she knew it was the other rightful owner of award who is now her husband. He placed a soft kiss on her neck before placing his jaw over her shoulder to adore the award in her hand.

"Yaad hai tumhe Shehnaaz, hum dono ne iss trophy ko rakhne ke liye argue kiya tha aur tum mujhse jeet gayi thi?", Said Sidharth

"Hmm.. aur main isse chhoddke chali gayi thi kyuki tumhe mujhse jyada uss Kaamini ke saath dance karne mein mazza aa raha tha..", she frowned by placing the trophy back and jerked her shoulder to shove him away. He immediately grabbed her back and nuzzled his nose into the crook of her neck, making her gasp and shut her eyes momentarily, before placing his jaws back again over her shoulder.

"Aisa kuch nahi hai.. uss din main apna steps bhool gaya tha aur uski wajah tum thi.", He huskily accused her.

"Meri wajah se?", She frowned again.

"Haan. Tumhaare aankhein dekh ke main khudh ko bhool jaata tha. Uss din bi steps bhool gaya toh jab tumne mujhpe ilzaam lagaya toh maine bachne ke liye keh diya ki dance partner achchi ho toh dance perfect hota hai aur tum uss baat pe ruth gayi. Upar se Kaamini ussi time tappak padi aur usne dance ke liye puch liya. Mujhe uske saath dance karne mein koi maza nahi aa raha tha..", He confessed

"..aur main possessive hoon tumhe leke. Pehle se aag lagi thi aur uss aag mein Rihaan ne ghee daal diya. Usko tumhaare liye meri feelings ke baare mein pata tha aur usne ussi ka use karke mujhe tumhaare khilaaf badhkana shuru kiya. Par main uska muh todd jawaab deke waha se chali gayi.", She said.

"Aur uske bawajood tumne usiko meri jagah kaam pe rakh liya.. aag lagaane ka kaam woh bahut achche se karta hai..", Sidharth spoke in annoyance.

"Kaam maang ke woh khudh aaya tha mere paas.. main nahi gayi thi.. aur dusri baat uss kaam se resign tumne kiya tha, maine tumhe fire nahi kiya tha.. ab kaha ki baat kahi math le jao, samjhe?", She scolds him.

"Sorry.. ek maze ke baat batau.. tumhe yeh trophy apne ghar le jaani thi aur ab dekho, main tumhe khudh ghar le aaya. Ab trophy bhi meri aur tum bhi..", he said turning her around and kissing her lips.

"Raat bahut ho gayi hai baby.. humein so jana chahiye kyuki kal humein doctor ke paas jana hai.", He said right after the kiss.

"Hmmm..", she nodded as she hung down her head.

"Kya hua? Suhaag raat nahi manaya issi liye udaas ho rahi ho? Tum jaldi se thik ho jao, phir..", He said by pushing her chin up.

Her eyes which were already filled with tears, which dropped on the floor when she shook her head in denial.

"Toh phir kyu ro rahi ho?", He asked wiping her tears.

"Mujhe darr lag raha hai doctor ke paas jaane se..", she mumbled.

"Main hoon na tumhaare saath jaan..", he said hugging her. After spending a few minutes in silence in each other's embrace, he escorted her towards the bed. They faced each other as they lay in their bed and stared into the other's eyes.

She snuggled closer to him and he patted her back to calm her. Soon sleep took over her but for him sleep was nowhere close. As a soft snore escaped her lips, he leaned closer and kissed her forehead delicately.
