it was a friday morning, and you were sitting in your school's library with your notebook open on the table and a cup of overly-sweetened coffee in your hand. you reviewed your notes over and over again, making sure you knew the information on the pages.

"y/n, y/n!" you heard someone running up to you and rolled your eyes.

you brought your finger to your lips and looked at chan, who had reached the table you were at and sat down next to you.

"be quiet," you instructed him before he kissed your cheek. "hey! what'd i tell you about kissing me?" you questioned him.

"babe, no one's here yet. just the librarian who is probably still sending death glares at me for being loud," he said to you.

you glanced over at the librarian, who in fact was glaring at the two of you. you waved and watched her return to doing whatever she was doing at the front counter.

"yea, she was," you mentioned, "but anyways, you know i don't want people knowing about us. what would happen if someone saw us together?" you questioned him.

"babe, who's gonna care?" chan asked you.

you raised your hand in response to his question, but he brought your hand down.

"minus you, who's gonna care?" he asked again, "even the librarian doesn't care."

"all of the cheerleaders and the other athletes. oh, and everyone else in the entire grade," you replied to him. "as much as i love you, i want this to be as secret as possible," you said to him and kissed his cheek after making sure no one had walked into the library. "i gotta study," you said to him, "you should go eat breakfast or something."

"we could eat breakfast together," dino suggested and you rolled your eyes at him before returning to studying. you heard him sigh and quickly kiss your cheek, "i'll see you later. don't be a stranger."

"did you not just listen to me?"

"did you not just deny a mini breakfast date?"

eventually, the school day started and about half of it passed by. you were relived that you finished your exam but nervous that you didn't do well. lunch started and you sat in your classroom with your lunch on your desk.

"hey."

you looked up and saw some of the seniors, who were on the soccer team with dino, walking into the classroom and up to you.

"you're dino's girl?" choi seungcheol asked.

"huh?" you questioned.

"you the one dating chan, right?" he asked again.

"um...yea," you replied, looking around the room to make sure that no one was at their desk. "how do you know?"

"oh shit, it is true," yoon jeonghan spoke up, "wow."

"excuse me?" you questioned.

"hey y/n, i got you that drink you like from the vending machine," you heard chan speak and looked at one of the doorways to see your boyfriend walking in. "what are you guys doing here?" he asked his seniors.

"when were you gonna tell us about your girl?" seungcheol asked.

"wait, how you guys know?" chan asked them.

"you didn't tell them?" you asked chan as he walked up to your desk.

"what? no."

"you shouldn't leave your locker open in the locker room," hong jisoo spoke up, throwing his arm around your boyfriend's shoulders.

chan thought for a second and realized, "the photo!" he exclaimed.

"what photo?" you asked him.

"the one you printed out of me and you at the amusement park," chan answered. "i put it in there cause people would've seen it if i kept it in my actual locker."

"what happened to us keeping this on the down low?" you asked him, crossing your arms.

"well, we'll let you two love birds have lunch," seungcheol said to both of you. "you should come to our practices so our makane doesn't get hurt when we bully him," he said to you with a grin before he started walking away with jeonghan.

"hyung," chan whined as joshua patted his back before leaving the room with the other seniors. "man, i can't believe they found out. that means the team will know," he sighed and sat down at the desk in front of you, sitting backwards in the chair so he could face you, "sorry, i should've left the photo at home."

"it's fine, but maybe they'll keep it a secret for us if we ask them," you said to him and opened a ziplock bag with gummies inside of it. "do you want me to go to your practice today?" you asked him.

"if you want to, we're gonna be out there for an extra hour cause of the game tomorrow," he replied while opening an energy drink can. "hey."

"what?"

"love you."

"love you," you replied before kissing his cheek.
