ALEX'S POV

At the end of the day I said goodbye to Beth and I went to detention.

I opened the door and I was greeted by Mrs. Green. In the room there were two guys who were sat at the bottom of the classroom.

I went and sat at the front row desk, so I had the teacher in front of me. I took the book from my bag for doing my homework but I couldn't stop thinking about Brittany's words. She was really crazy. She thought that me and Glen were together and she had got jealous. Despite her words I had no intention to stay away from him.

I was thinking about that, when someone sat beside me. I turned around and I saw a lad, one of those who were in the class. He had blond hair and green eyes. He smirked at me.

"Hi, beautiful" he said putting an arm around the backrest of my chair.

I ignored him and I focused my attention on the homework.

"What's your name?" he said

"What do you want?" I snapped at him

"Someone's angry?" he asked smirking

I sighed in frustration. Then I felt his breath tickling my ear

"You're more beautiful when you got angry, you know that?" he whispered.

I elbowed him in the stomach and he cried out in pain. The teacher looked at us.

"Mr. Walsh! That's not your desk!" she yelled "If you don't want to spend another hour here it's better for you to go back to your desk and leave Miss Smith alone!"

He looked at me and he went at his desk again.

The hour passed quickly. I made my way outside the school for going home.

"Hey! Wait a second!" someone yelled

I turned around and I saw the same guy of detention running after me. I turned around again without looking back

"you didn't tell me your name" he said once he reached me and started walking beside me

"And why would I tell you my name?" I said

"I'm Sean" he said. I sighed "Alex"

"Good Alex, it's a pleasure to meet you. But I think you don't feel the same since you hurt me in detention" he said

I didn't answer at him.

"Are you dumb or what?" he said

I stopped in front of him because he was starting to piss me off

"Have you decided to act clingy or are you going home?" I said angrily

He laughed, I just wanted to slap him in the face

"I'm going home, I'll leave you" and then he walked away. And then I made my way to my house, too

When I reached my neighborhood I saw Glen sat on the stairs outside his house.

When he saw me he stood up and walked toward me. "Why did you get detention?" he asked with a worried face

How did he know that? Then I thought and I realized that Beth could have told him

"I was late for the lesson" I said looking at ground

"I knew that, but why?" he said

"Didn't Beth tell you?" I asked

"Yes, but I didn't believe her" He said looking at me "I want to hear it from you"

"Why don't you trust Beth?" I asked.

I didn't want him to know about Brittany or he could hurt her, and I didn't want it to happen

"Don't change the topic" he said annoyed

"I remained blocked in the toilet, ok?!" I said almost yelling

"Alex..." he started but I cut him off

"Leave, I want just to be alone...please" I said as I opened the door of my house. Then I closed it leaving Glen outside

I was angry. Honestly I didn't know why I had treated him like that, but he reminded me of Brittany in some way. He did nothing to me but I couldn't help it. I just wanted to cry...

I went to my room and I phoned the only person that could really understand me: Amy

We talked for 2 hours. She told me all the things that were happening in my old school and in her life. I wanted to be with her so badly. She told me that she asked his father to come to Dublin for Christmas but they couldn't because they were going to spend the Christmas at her grandparents' who lived in the Yorkshire.

We hung up, and I cried my eyes out, because I missed her, I missed my life in London, my old school and with those thoughts I fell asleep...
