Tahimik na binasa ng board ang kani-kanilang kopya ng presentation.
Bakas sa mukha ng mga ito ang seryosong pagproproseso sa lahat ng impormasyong nakasulat sa mga dokumento.
Pigil hininga naman kami ni Kay na naghihintay sa isasagot ng mga ito.
"First off, I'd like to say a job well done to you both dahil napaka -impressive ng proposal ninyong dalawa" panimula ni Mrs. Dela fuente "What I want to know is kung pwede ba itong i-apply sa ibang departament maliban sa finance at accounting?" tanong nito.
"Yes po ma'am and also with little changes involved in terms of programming" kumpyansang sagot ni Kay "that is one of the things we looked at when we design the upgrade on the company's software. Our goal is to ensure that it will be more efficient, more user friendly and more flexible" paliwanag pa nito.
"That's great, so anu-anong department ang pwede nating paggamitan ng upgraded version ng software na ito?" si Mr. Tan naman
"At the moment the software can be use in supplier management, logistics and dispatch. At simula pa lang po iyan sir, with further improvement we might be able to apply this to smaller departments such as binning and textiles" ako naman ang sumagot.
"With this software, mas mapapadali po ang monitoring ng cash flow, losses and projected funds ng kumpanya on a yearly basis" dag-dag pa ni Kay.
"We've been dicussing all the benefits, how about the disadvantages and possible issues?" tanong ni Mrs. Blanco
"Honestly ma'am there isn't much apart from the waiting period during installation on the company's mainframe. Once we get it up and running then it's just a matter of training the employees" sagot ko.
"Where did you get the figures you used to run the software?" curious na tanong ni Mr. Lim.
"Lahat po ng figures namin are all hypothetical since we don't have actual business data to use" sagot ni Kay.
"Then we have to test it out first, to see if this really works" si Mrs. Dela fuente ulit.
"I agree with you Mrs. Dela fuente, that's why I would like them to use actual data from the company for the last 3 years" sang-ayon naman ni Aiden.
"Why not make it the last 5 years?" Munkahi ni Mrs. Blanco.
"That's a good idea. Natatandaan ko na nagkaroon tayo ng issue sa accounting around 5 years ago and the audit that was carried out before Aiden took over was very unsatisfactory" segunda naman ni Mr. Tan.
"I'll have my secretary prep all the-" hindi na natapos pa ni Aiden ang kanyang sasabihin dahil bigla itong nasingitan.
"Isn't it a little overboard for them to use actual company data?" tanong ni Mr. Laquesta sa harap ng board.
"It's old data so I don't see the harm" sagot ni Aiden
"The company still has proprietary rights to those, not to mention that all of it are confidential. It's a bit risky na basta-basta na lamang ito ipagkatiwala to our new employees especially to someone as green as those two" kontra ni Mr. Guillardez.
"Kalerki 'tong matandang to! Tingin mo sa amin ignorante at di mapagkakatiwalaan! Che!" gusto ko sanang sumagot subalit pinigil ko ang aking sarili.
Palihim kaming nagkatinginan ni Kay dahil sa nakakainsultong komento ng dalawa.
"They will be signing a confidentiality agreement and I'm sure both of MY EMPLOYEES are smart enough to know the consequences of breeching that agreement" sagot ni Aiden.
Kapansin-pansin ang subtle declaration ni Aiden na we are his people and therefore, responsible sa amin.
"Is that enough to stop them from leaking sensitive information to our competitors? Or to the other employees of the company?" usisa ulit ni Mr. Laquesta na parang di ito natinag.
"About the issue in regards to selling us off to our competitors, consider it handled. I have already put in security measures and counter measures in the event of that happening" kalmadong paliwanag ni Aiden
"Really??" sarkastikong tanong ni Mr. Guillardez
"Yes really!" sabi ni Aiden na nakatingin kay Mr. Guillardez bago nagpatuloy "And informing other employees about this project is not necessarily a bad thing"
"And why is that?" tanong ni Mr. Laquesta
"Because it sends a message to everyone, AND I MEAN EVERYONE, that I'm watching and that everything will be done differently and accordingly under my leadership!" sagot nito.
"Seems to me that you have it figured out even before this meeting" si Mr. Guillardez ulit.
"Indeed" simpleng sagot ni Aiden.
Hindi kami manhid ni Kay upang hindi maramdaman ang tension sa loob ng meeting room.
