The chapter starts off with Mai walking down the street and then out of nowhere someone shouts Izaki's kid!
Mai turns around to see someone with a knife and then is stabbed in the stomach.
Mai collapses to the ground. As she starts to bleed out she thinks to herself Why? I haven't done anything. Touka someone help me, please. I don't want to die. this is..... father's fault.
There is a flash back sequence of Mai's memories when she was younger.
A kid pushed her to the ground and says Why does Izaki keep making it harder for my parents to live.
Another kid shouts Yeah we can't have anyhting because of your father.
Then it cuts to Mai's final moments.
Mai: I'm sorry Touka.
Then there are flashes of Sakuta sitting down during a funeral and then it cuts to Izumi at Yui's funeral. Sakuta gets up, goes to Yui's coffin and puts his hand on it. Izumi thinks to himself Sakuta don't blame yourself, whatever you do don't blame yourself.
Then the story cuts to Izumi infront of Sakuta's house, ringing the doorbell.
Sakuta's mom answers and says Hi Izumi. Sakuta still not feeling it.
Izumi looks down and says That's okay, I just wanted to give him this.
Izumi hands Sakuta's mom a letter and she says I'll make sure to give it to him.
Izumi: Thanks, I'll see you later.
It then cut to Sakuta's mom's funeral.
Izumi sits right next to crying Sakuta.
Sakuta looks at Izumi and says Why her too? Doesn't she know that dad still need her. Sakuta looks down and says I still need her!
Izumi stands up and says Come with me for a second.
It then cuts to them outside looking out at a field.
Izumi: No matter how painful it gets I'll be here. I won't leave you in your darkest hour.
The story cuts again to Izumi and Mai.
Izumi is holding his hand over his stomach and Mai says You are a good friend.
Rika gets up from her spot and says Great now you two need to train now.
Izumi and Mai say What?
Now we cut to Sakuta resting in the shade holding his hand over his left eye and he begins to cry. Jin comes up and says Hey Sakuta how's it go-
Sakuta turns away and says Hi Jin.
Jin: I still see and feel everything that happened at the manor. Everyone can tell something is eating you.
Sakuta turns to Jin and says Kirei tortured me for four days we then see flashes of what occurred and Sakuta goes back to covering his left ear.
Jin looks down and says I've been wanting to run something by everyone.
Sakuta: And what's that?
Jin looks back up to Sakuta and says When I take up the role of king I want to form a group of people who have gone through unspeakable things, like you Sakuta. And we can give these broken people homes and family. There would be regular individuals and cursed spirit users. Of course you'd be the leader of this group.
Sakuta stops covering his ear and says No one should have to go through what Me, you and Rika had to.
Jin: Exactly, but we got to have a name for this group.
Sakuta looks up for a moment and then looks at Jin and says It should be called Lost Crimson.
