This chapter starts off with Mai walking down the street and then out of nowhere someone shouts Izaki's kid!
Mai turns around to see someone with a knife and then is stabbed in the stomach.
Mai collapses to the ground. As she starts to bleed out she thinks to herself Why? I haven't done anything. Touka someone help me, please. I don't want to die. This is..... fathers fault.
Izumi wakes up from this dream/memory and thinks to himself Maybe her thinking it's her father's fault isn't such a far fetched concept.
Mai comes out and says I had the same dream. When I got stabbed; I knew my father had something to do with it, but I don't know for sure. I can't explain it, but I just know.
Izumi gets up and says I understand. I'm going to meet with him.
The story now cuts to Izumi in Megumi's office.
Megumi: I also want to talk about Mai's death. It's been eating away at me and I'm the one that caused it.
Izumi sits down and says Continue.
Megumi starts walking around his office and says Scavern is not the man anyone thinks him to be. He has killed, lord and stole to get where he is today.
Izumi starts to lay back in the chair and says I figured as much. Tell me if I'm wrong...I think funded him to climb the ladder.
Megumi looks shocked and says Yes and no. He blackmailed me into funding him.
Izumi: He blackmailed you with what?
Megumi looks down and say Mai and Touka. At the time I didn't care, but he made good on his promise.
Izumi stands up and yells What the fuck did he do!?
Megumi sheds a tear and says He ordered a hitman to kill her.
Izumi grabs him by the collar, pushes him against the wall and shouts Why we're you in bed with someone like that!?
Megumi: I was greedy in my youth and didn't see what really mattered which was my baby girls.
Megumi gets his throat slit from what seems to be nothing and drops to the ground convalescing.
Megumi barely mutters Scavern's night walker.
Megumi dies right after and Izumi shouts Release!!
Mai with tears falling down her face releases a gaizer of pressurized water and it hits someone, drawing blood.
Izumi blitzes to them and hits them with a water club, knocking them unconscious. Their invisibility fades away and it is Raven.
Izumi: Fuck, why?
The story now cuts to Izumi talking to Touka on the same mirror device.
Touka with a tear falling down her cheek says At least the asshole acted like a father before he died.
Izumi takes a deep breath and says You know how I haven't told you my cursed spirit name?
Touka wipes her tear away and says Yeah.
Izumi: Your sister, Mai is mine.
Touka starts to cry again and after awhile she asks Why didn't you tell me?
Isumi: Mai and I didn't know how to break it to you, so we just held the truth from you. I'm sorry Touka.
Touka: Thank you for telling me Izumi. I miss her so much, but it's good to know she's with a good person.
Touka crushes the mirror and it reforms shortly after.
Touka goes to Jin and asks You knew didn't you?
Jin looks down and Touka continues It's okay, it wasn't your secret to tell. I forgive you.
Jin starts to cry and says I miss her so much. I wanted to tell you, but I didn't have the strength to tell you. I'm sorry.
Touka hugs Jin and says It's okay, I forgive all three of you.
