"This door. It's the same my mum described when she told us about that place she went to with me..."
He turned around to face me, then his eyes wandered towards the wooden door.
"Are you sure? I mean, it could be any door. There are lots of houses with wooden doors y/n."
I shook my head. "Not many with runes carved into them. I know it's that place. Even if I can't remember I'm a hundred percent sure."
He looked at me for a second then he nodded.
"Okay then. Let's go.""What do you mean?" But before I got an answer he already knocked on the door.
"Do you think someone lives here?" I whispered to him and he shrugged his shoulders.
"I guess we will find out."
But nothing happened. No one opened the door. And it seemed to be silent on the other side of it.
"Wait let me try."
"Y/n I don't think th-" Jungwon stopped mid sentence and looked at me in surprise. I was about to knock on the door but as soon as I approached it it opened itself.
We exchanged looks for a second, agreeing to go in. It was dark and cold and I couldn't see a thing until I was blinded by a bright light. Jungwon had found the light switch I figured.
The hallway was massive, in an o-like shape and the ceiling was so high that I had to look closely to make out where it was. Winding stairs on both sides of the hallway made out of wood led to another floor and all the furniture was made out of wood as well. There was a door right in the middle of the hallway and for some reason I felt like it was just where I had to go in.
I gasped when I entered the room. Jungwon was right behind me and I heard him mumble something but couldn't understand what he was saying. He looked just as amazed as I did tho.
On the floor, there was something drawn with chalk, which looked like a pentagram. The rest of the room was filled with lots of magical things like potions, books and more.
"Ok. This is definitely the place your mum described."
Jungwon looked around the room and I did the same. I approached a small podium in the middle of the room, a book was laying on the table in front of it."This book..."
"Y/n don't touch anything!"
But it was already too late. As I opened the book I felt a huge wave of magic rushing through my body, overwhelming all my senses and making me black out. Last thing I knew was the feeling of Jungwon catching me before I hit the ground.
I opened my eyes to meet Jungwon hovering over me with his face, still holding me in his arms.
"Are you okay?"
I tried to shake this weird feeling off, which was still lingering in my body, making it seem like my body was made out of helium, so light.
"Yeah, I think so." I stood up with the help of him and my gaze wandered back to the book I opened. It had stopped at one page.
"What was that?!"
"A protections spell. After you touched the book it didn't seem to stop flipping through all these pages until it stopped there."
He pointed at the book. I slowly approached it again, this time not touching anything. Just in case.'A spell to regain memories' I read out loud.
"As if the book knew.."
"That I lost my memories." I finished his sentence. I read the next sentences out loud as well.
