You can't run forever

Rain sat at her desk in the old library. It was a cold drafty building built just after the Revolution. Rumor said Hamilton wrote a draft of his economic plan with in these walls.
Rain stood and smiled; this was her true home. Sure she had a studio a few blocks from here, but there was something calming and welcoming here.
The library sat on the border of Brooklyn and Queens. This made it a central meeting spot for men like her uncle Wilson Fisk; Kingpin.
Rain tried to fight back a shiver. She'd run from her uncle 3 years ago and ended up in his rivals territory. Kingpin may have completely held Manhattan, but he wouldn't dare cross the East River.
Brooklyn and Queens were run by two men known as Captain America and Winter Soldier; a.k.a. Steve Rogers and James "Bucky" Barnes.
Steve earned his alias by fighting over sees and becoming a highly decorated soldier before coming home to take over the "family" business.
Bucky earned his by being the cold calculated right hand of the Rogers family.
Rain knew she was taking a huge chance hiding here, but she needed to build up funds before fleeing to safety outside the tri-state area.
Sighing Rain gathered some books to shelve, "I should have a big enough nest egg in a few months..."
She paused seeing men in suits walk in. She recognized Ben Parker; the duke of Queens. He reported directly to Steve and Bucky. If he was here that meant...
Sure enough 2 men entered bold as brass. Rain recognized them immediately. Steve Rogers was tall well over 6'4 with dirty blonde hair that held a natural wave. He had blue eyes that had a predator's glint; always watching.
Bucky Barnes was a fraction of an inch or two shorter with brown hair in a fifties style pompador. His blue eyes were icy cold and sharp.
She had managed 3 years of keeping under their radar. She hoped to continue to do so, but fate didn't seem to be on her side.
"Ah Miss Creek is the meeting room free?" Ben Parker asked Rain.
Rain shifted the books in her arms, "Yes Mr. Parker it's almost closing time so right now it's just me as the only staff."
Ben nodded and motioned everyone to follow him.
Steve gave the librarian a glance as they walked by. She was a tiny thing compared to him or Bucky; barely coming chest high. She appeared mousey at first glance, but he could tell that she was hiding a killer body under the facade. Long dark black hair pulled into a braid, wire framed glasses that made her dark blue eyes seem owl like. He noted her curves; from the slope of her shoulders to the flare of her hips. Steve couldn't fight the image of him gripping her hips and putting a claiming bite on her shoulder so no one doubted who she belonged to. He blinked and found his throat parched, "Miss Creek was it? May I trouble you for some water?"
He asked as the passed.
Rain paused, "Ah... Sure let me..."
Quickly a teenager popped up, "I can put those up Miss Creek."
Rain smiled. It was Peter; Ben Parker's nephew, "Thanks Peter."
Ben beamed, "I think Peter has a soft spot for you Miss Creek."
Bucky let out a unpleased growl. The librarian didn't go unnoticed by him. He saw through the mousey first impression and very much liked what he saw. She was a bigger woman,  hearty his mother would say; not some stick that would break as he rode her to her limits. He tried not to seem obvious as he checked her out. His mouth watering at the idea of feasting on her. Bucky wondered what she'd look like with her plump breasts tied up with black ribbon; the idea had him discreetly adjusting himself.
Rain gave the books to Peter and then brought Steve his water. "I'll be in my office just let me know when you're ready to leave so I can lock up."
She didn't wait to be dismissed and as lady like as possible bee lined to her office.

Rain looked at the clock and decided to close the lobby early. Peter sat at a table reading and outside the men in the meeting room it was empty inside the library.
As Rain came around the check out desk to head to the doors two men in track suits came in. They spotted Rain right away, "Ah the prodigal daughter." One of them said.
Rain tried to play dumb, "I am sorry, but you'll have to leave; library is closing."
The other one shook his head, "Your uncle says it's time to come home. Don't make us hurt you."
Rain sighed. She spent most of her youth learning how to fight. People always assumed she was weak because she was a girl who was built soft, she wasn't going to go back meekly.
"I am not going with you. Leave now."
The 2 men laughed. Peter came around, "Miss Creek?"
Rain looked at the boy. Fuck! She forgot about him.
The first man stepped forward, "Awe is little baby gonna fight too?"
Rain stepped between them, "Leave now. You are not on home turf and you no idea the trouble you'll bring."
The second guy leaned in, "We ain't leaving without you Rain. Orders are bring you in... Mildly unharmed."
Rain looked up at him, "You don't want this fight."
The second man made a grab for her, but Rain expected it and countered him. The first man tried to grab at her while engaged with the other, but Peter tripped him.
Rain looked up, "Peter get the hell out of here!"
Peter went to object as Rain took on both men. Peter ran towards the meeting room where the ruckus and noise reached the men, "What the hell?"
Ben said standing up.
