"Girl! Is that the limited-edition LV bag?!" A high-pitched voice exclaimed.
Esther looked at her friend, Elise, and smirked. She sat down on her seat calmly and placed her precious bag on the desk.
She had just arrived at school, and her friends immediately surrounded her.
"Yes," She answered with a raised chin.
"Is that legit?!" Her other friend, Dane, looked inquisitively at the bag.
"Of course! No matter how you look at this, it's original," Esther replied confidently.
"Where did you get that? Hey, have you gotten a sugar daddy lately?" Elise can't help but doubt.
"Stop talking nonsense! What sugar daddy?" Esther rolled her eyes at her.
"Girl, I know you! Where did you get that from, hmm? Do you have some gold master we didn't know of?" Elise insisted with squinted eyes.
Esther looked at her friends helplessly. And finally, in order for her not to be taught badly by these shady girls, she finally revealed her new 'friend'.
"Wow, this girl is be-au-ti-ful," Dane exclaimed exaggeratedly, a bit unbelieving while staring at the photo from Esther's phone that she was showing them.
"So, you have been hanging out with this rich miss, and she has been giving you gifts?" Elise asked, surprised that Esther had found such a generous friend.
Esther chuckled and took back her phone.
"You don't know, this girl is dumb," She said lightly.
"The innocent and naïve type. I mean, it was not hard for me to get her to give me these things. She's like desperate for a friend," Esther said nonchalantly, caressing the branded bag she just got.
Esther's intentions about Anika were just to be a pitiful friend so that the other would be soft-hearted for her. But when she found out that the girl didn't even know how to read, had no parents, and a dependent damsel in distress, her thoughts changed.
And she was tempted to fool Anika into giving her things. In which she succeeded.
She does feel guilty at times, but every time she remembers the lucky fate of the other party, her conscience vanishes. Anyway, she became her friend and was willing to amuse her, so this little payment for her service was nothing.
"Looks like it. No normal person would be that generous. You got yourself a fat cash cow, girl!" Elise nudged Esther with an excited tone.
"Well, it's not so easy to amuse that woman too, you know. She doesn't even know anything, gosh! Like a girl living in a rock," Esther seconded with a disdainful smile.
"Hey, for our trip next week, you said you can't come. Why not ask from your cash cow for some bucks?" Dane went along and pushed Esther playfully.
"Erm.." Esther hesitantly looked at them.
"Come on!" Elise insisted with a face as if watching a play.
Esther sighed.
"Fine, I'll ask her later," She finally gave in.
"That's the spirit!" Dane rejoiced, clapping her hand.
"If you do get some cash, you need to treat us!"

At the Albrecht mansion.
It was nighttime, and after dinner, the couple was in their bedroom, at peace, doing their own thing in their bed.
Leon was leaning at the headrest, reading some documents. Beside him, Anika was playing with her phone.
