In the following days, Anika stayed in the mansion. And during these times, she noticed that Leon had become busier. He had also restricted where they would go at the moment. He said that it was best for them to stay home, aside from Adelaide's school.
Anika felt it was unnatural, but when she saw Leon's tension, no matter how much he hid it, she chose to follow him obediently.
Until her foreboding feeling actually happened.
"Anika! Something happened in Adelaide's school!"

"Don't you dare hurt my daughter," Leon said in a dangerous voice. His eyes were vicious right now, and if this man was in front of him, he would tear him to pieces.
"Too bad you offended someone heartless. But maybe you'll meet one day. Only, as someone who is against you," The voice from the other side of the phone said cruelly and let off an evil laugh.
With a beep, the phone was hung up.
"Damn!" Leon furiously slammed the phone into the car hood.
In the current days, Leon couldn't deny that the situation of his family was complicated. It could lead to danger, and that was why he restricted Anika from going to other places recently. And he also sent many of his men to guard his daughter at school.
But who knew, someone inside betrayed him. One of his secretaries colluded with the enemy and let them take his daughter.
Leon had already felt many would collude to retaliate against him right after the bidding project, but he didn't expect it was from his own people that would lead his family to danger.
"Hubby!"
Suddenly, he heard Anika's fearful voice call.
Anika hurriedly came out of the mansion as she heard Nanny Rose tell her something had happened at school, and her daughter was nowhere to be found.
When she came out, she immediately saw Leon standing by the car with an aching expression.
"Baby.." Leon held Anika to calm her down as soon as she ran to him.
"Adelaide.. she.." Anika could only speak in a trembling voice.
"Don't worry. I'll take her back. I'll save her even if it costs me my life, okay? Stay in the mansion for me, where it's safe," Leon vowed solemnly.
Anika gulped and looked at Leon's face, her eyes brimming with tears.
"I'll go with you," She said with conviction.
"Baby, it's dangerous-"
"I know where she is! I can feel my sweetheart.." Anika held her chest, looking for Adelaide's presence, then looked towards the south.
"To the south. They're traveling to the south.."

Leon's group drove in the direction Anika was pointing. She had her hand on her chest as her eyes glowed in golden light.
Leon was surprised to see this but thought the goddesses had a special connection. So even though he feared for Anika's safety, he couldn't possibly stop her from coming.
Anika led the direction further until they arrived at an abandoned building on the faraway outskirt of the city. It was a place hidden from the city center.
They hurriedly came out of the car, and before Leon could stop Anika, she had already dashed to the building.
"Anika!" Leon tried to follow, as well as his men, but suddenly, a strong force pushed them back. It was like a barrier had formed, restricting them from stepping forward.
