Chapter 15 - Adelaide

Leon took them to the living area and there they saw a black leather sofa, a glass coffee table, and a large television mounted on the wall.

Leon placed his daughter down and squatted in front of her. The little child was sucking her index finger as she looked at the place timidly.

"This will be your new house. This is Steward Ben and Nanny Rose," Leon told the child gently. He was still new to parenthood, and he really didn't know how to get along with the child. But he just followed his extinct and heart, and that is to care for her the way he knew it and provide her everything.

The child listened to his words and looked at the two quite elderly people and greeted them.

"Steward, Nanny," She called in a soft voice.

The two elders were instantly hooked by the cute child. She was very adorable, just like a doll. It was easy to have good feelings for her.

Leon saw this and smiled in satisfaction. He stood up and turned to Anika this time.

"Treat this as your home and be at ease. Aside from me, Steward Ben and Nanny Rose would assist you in everything. If you need something, remember to go to them." He whispered to her as he held the small of his back.

Anika looked up at the tall man towering over her, but instead, she felt safe. Just like this unfamiliar and large home, yet she still felt it was more comfortable than back at the tower.

There were not many maids following her and watching all of her steps. Instead, only a warm and caring Steward and Nanny.

She liked this house.

Anika nodded at Leon and paid heed to his words carefully.

Leon saw this and took her and the little girl's hand.

"Then let me show you the rooms? I had already made them prepare. Steward?" Leon turned to Steward Ben.

"Yes! Yes! You can guarantee this old steward's arrangement. Even with the short notice, we were able to prepare the little miss's room and the Madam's things. Masters let me lead you the way," Steward announced cheerfully.

The rules of Leon's house were not that strict, that was why Steward Ben and Nanny Rose were much at ease. They were also the people who brought up Leon from a young age, that was why they have some closeness, and Leon greatly trusts them.

Leon nodded and thanked them before lowering his head to the mother and daughter, he assured them and then lead the way.

Steward Ben immediately took them to the rooms on the second floor. The stairs were in complement to the house in modernity, which was made of glass and steel.

On the second floor, just like the motif of the whole house, it was also made off white, black, and gray accents. The steward went straight to the room next to the main master's bedroom.

"Per the master's order, the miss's room is next to the master's bedroom." He opened the door and a room that was befitting of a princess was revealed.

Pink walls and curtains, a fluffy princess bed, dolls, and toys for kids filled the room. It was prepared meticulously and exquisitely and didn't seem to be arranged at the last minute. This tells how many could make all things possible.

The little girl's eyes immediately brightened and even Anika liked the cute and girly room.

Leon nodded approvingly at the steward and then squatted beside his daughter.

"Do you like it?" He asked softly to her.

"I like it!" She said in the childish voice and was standing on her place in restlessness as if she wanted to dash to the pretty things before her. Leon chuckled and gently pushed her back in encouragement.

"Go on," His gentle voice rang.

When the child heard this, she turned to him with a happy smile and rushed to the soft bed.

But due to her short height, she struggled a bit to climb on the bed, and when she sat on the soft mattress, she bounced her small buttocks on it.

Anika smiled happily looking at her cheerful daughter.

The child jumped for some time before looking at the wall against the bed, where a large pink elegant font was drawn on top of the headboard.

Seeing the child looking curiously, Leon approach her and said,

"This says, Adelaide. It's your name," He told her, explaining the large name imprinted on her pink walls, indicating ownership by her.

The child turned back to Leon and looked at him innocently.

"Adelay?" She worded stumble.

Leon smiled and caressed the top of her head.

"Ade-laide," He repeated slowly and gently.

"Ade-laide?" The child finally copied his voice and tone.

Leon smiled amusedly.

"Good job," He praised.

The child smiled brightly and giggled. She turned to her mother and called coquettishly.

"Mommy~"

Anika, who was smiling and enjoying watching the two of them, suddenly saw them looking at her at the same time.

Leon reached out his hand to the woman and beckoned her to sit with them.

Anika finally approached and took Leon's outstretched hand.

The man pulled her and sat her beside him on the bed. They gazed at their daughter together as she played in the bed.

Adelaide took one of the dolls on the bed and looked at it fascinatingly. She then hurriedly crawled towards her mother to share her beautiful things.

"Mommy~ look!" She showed the doll to Anika. It was both their first time seeing and holding this kind of novel toy.

Anika smiled happily at her daughter and also caressed the beautiful doll. It was very pretty, and she was also infected by her daughter's excitement.

Leon stared closely at them and can't help but feel his heart clench. He vowed to himself that he will give them the best.

With his big arms, he hugged them both and kissed their foreheads one by one.

It was a picture of a beautiful family.

The little child played at her bed for a while and Leon and Anika just stared at her contently.

After a moment, Leon turned to Anika.

"Want to see our room?" He whispered closely in her ear.

Anika turned to him and slight surprise.

"Our room?" She echoed in inquiry.

"Yes. You'll be sleeping in my room." Leon said, only reporting what he decided on the matter.

Anika thought she would sleep with her baby. Leon saw this and smiled gently, hiding the cunning glint of his eyes.

"Well, husband and wife should sleep in one room." He taught her while tucking a playful hair strand behind her ear, rubbing her earlobes in the process.

"Is that so?" Anika asked shyly. When she saw the man only looking at her deep in the eyes, she finally nodded her head.

Leon was pleased by this and turned to the Nanny.

"Nanny, I leave Adelaide to you tonight. I will show your Madam our living quarters," He said in a refined tone.

After that, he turned to the little child in the bed.

"You play here for tonight and Nanny will prepare you for bed later, alright?" He coaxed her.

The little child was still distracted by her toys and did not mind her parents and just nodded cutely to them.

Leon smile amusedly at her and then turned to lead Anika and lead her outside.

They entered the master's bedroom and it showed a large, exquisite bedroom, much larger than the little girl's room.

Leon held Anika's waist and lured her inside their bedroom, the place where they will spend countless passionate nights together in the future.Edit
