Chapter 56 - Business trip

"I'm going on a business trip. Do you want to come with me?"

It was days later, and Leon offered this trip. He knew everything left a shadow for Anika, and he wanted to cheer her up.

It was just right timing that he had a business trip abroad, and this would be a great opportunity to take Anika and their daughter for their first overseas trip aside from the honeymoon trip.

Anika's low mood brightened a bit when she heard they were going to other countries, and they would be riding a plane. She hadn't experienced this before, so she looked forward in her heart.

So, everything was settled. They packed up and once again took Nanny Rose with them and left the mansion in Steward Ben's care.

Anika and Adelaide boarded the first plane in their life. The family rode their family's privately owned jet.

"We're in the sky.." Anika whispered mesmerizingly as she looked out of the window and saw the clouds and the land becoming small.

"Sky!" Little Adie also cheered happily. Even though they felt uncomfortable in their ears, they were still enthusiastic about their first plane ride.

"Pretty?" Leon patted Anika's head as he asked gently.

Anika nodded, still looking out, enthralled.

Leon smiled when he saw Anika finally shift her mood.

After a day's ride, they arrived at Paris, the city of love. They first went to their first-class accommodation to rest.

"Let's play tomorrow, okay? Let's get some enough rest first," Leon told his girls as they arrived in their presidential suite. It was equipped with three rooms, a kitchen, a living area, and a pool by the balcony. There was also a jacuzzi.

Anika marveled at the place, but fatigue ate her up. She then chose to freshen up and rest.

It would be a long day tomorrow.

The next day, Leon really took Anika and Adelaide around the beautiful city of Paris. They went to a lot of beautiful places, and Anika was mesmerized.

Anika didn't know the popularity of this city, she just knew it was beautiful. Especially the beautiful tower, which Leon said the name was the Eiffel Tower. They ate at the highest restaurant in that tower, overlooking the starry sky, while eating a lovely dinner.

Anika loved the sky with stars the most. And now, having a meal at a beautiful restaurant, her heart was full.

"Did you have fun?" Leon asked as they lay down in bed at night. Today, they also have Adelaide beside them.

"Yes!" Adelaide answered happily. While Anika nodded with a bright smile on her face.

Leon smiled back and gave them a kiss.

He first tucked Adelaide to sleep and then whispered to Anika.

"We'll be going to a banquet for the company tomorrow. Accompany me, okay?" He coaxed Anika.

The latter heard this and readily agreed. Leon smiled and dropped a kiss on her forehead.

"Okay, rest for now,"

The next day, Anika and Adelaide spent their time in the suite as Leon went out to attend to business matters. They bathed in the jacuzzi and watched movies. They also opened the things they bought yesterday. Adelaide happily played with her new toys.
