Chapter 58 - Tsundere

Leon arrived at their table and saw that Alexander was already there, beside his cousin.

He went to the seat next to Anika.

"Were you fine while I was gone?" Leon asked as he caressed Anika's hair.

Anika nodded.

"The dessert is delicious," She answered softly.

Leon smiled and gave her some fruit juice to rinse her throat.

Shortly, the banquet started. The main course meals were served.

At their table, the businessmen were talking about the project. Some talked about the market and investments.

"Just bare it for a moment.." They heard Alexander whisper beside them.

Anika turned and saw Alexander whispering to Seraphina.

"But I'm bored," Sera complained while playing with her food.

Alexander could sigh helplessly.

Then Sera dropped her cutleries and wiped her lips with a napkin.

"I'll find Andrei, he's more fun than you. Hmp," She said and stood from her seat. She fixed her skirt and happily left to find her other cousin.

Leon looked gloatingly at Alexander.

"Don't look at me like that while I'm babysitting," Alexander said grudgingly. He was helpless why he was the one asked to watch over this spoiled princess. Good thing she went to bother others now.

Leon smirked at him but turned to Anika. Seeing Seraphina leave because of boredom, he worried Anika was bored too.

"Are you bored? We can go to the garden and look at some flowers. There are exotic flowers growing here that couldn't be found in ours," He whispered lowly by her ears.

Anika smiled at his thoughtfulness. She responded that she was fine and she would say if she got bored.

She knew this event was important for Leon, so she would try not to be a hindrance as much as possible. And she didn't mind sitting here. She wasn't bored. She even liked watching him work. It's like he changes into a completely different person.

Which is very handsome.

After a while, she felt like she needed to go to the toilet. She whispered this to Leon.

Leon immediately stood to lead her to the restroom.

After she had used the toilet, she washed her hands and went out of the restroom.

Just before she turned to the corridor, she heard the conversation between Leon and his secretary.

"There were problems with the materials, Sir. We can't find supplies here in the middle of Paris," The secretary said worriedly.

Leon furrowed his brows. Accidents like these are really inevitable.

"Contact the suppliers and ask when is the soonest shipping they could do," He could only order.

Anika hid in the corridor, peaking at them. When she saw Leon's furrowed brows, she pursed her lips.

She lowered her eyes, and as if determined, she raised them again, this time glowing with a golden light.

Leon led Anika back to their table. They sat and listened to the host give credit to all the prominent families and business tycoons attending the banquet.
