At the end of the event, the guests stood outside, seeing off the married couple. They were by the pier where a large and luxurious yacht was waiting afloat.
Leon was talking with a few important people, and Anika only now had the time to talk to Esther. She was very busy all day, and she hardly talked to her friend.
"Esther, did you have fun? Did you eat well?" Anika asked with concern.
Esther was still dazzled by everything. And seeing Anika approach her, she was still shrouded by a light as someone she couldn't reach. This made her feel utterly uncomfortable.
She could only smile stiffly and nod.
"Everything was good. Congratulations." Her reluctant voice responded.
Anika was still on cloud nine and could not feel the disgruntled tone of Esther. No one could spoil her mood tonight as this was the day of her dreams.
So, she only hugged Esther happily.
"Well, see you soon. Be careful and take care!" She bid goodbye and went back to Leon, who was already waiting for her.
Leon held his wife's hand and waved to the huge crowd seeing them off. He then led Anika to the yacht.
Anika looked fascinatingly at the yacht as this was the first time she had seen one. Leon knew this and slowly showed her around.
It was already very late, and Adelaide was put to sleep long ago in one of the cabins.
When they got on the yacht, they stayed on the deck and looked at the view of the dark waters and sky.
"Are you tired?" Leon whispered closely in Anika's ear while wrapping his strong arms around her waist.
Anika was facing the railing, looking at the dark big waves. She heard this and turned her head to him.
"No, I'm very happy," She shook her head and answered with a sweet smile.
Leon smiled back and caressed her hair.
Seeing her glancing back at the ocean, he chuckled.
"Like it?"
Anika nodded at this and faced the front.
"This is the first time I see the ocean. It's amazing," She praised.
She knew about the ocean, she saw it in the book, and was also discussed by the teacher during their class.
She was very curious about this large body of water; it was like another world. And seeing this now, right in front of her, it felt like a dream.
Leon hugged her close, shielding her body from the night breeze.
"We're heading to a more beautiful place. It's called the Maldives," He informed her while dropping a kiss on her cheek.
"We're going to another place?" Anika asked.
Seeing her excited look, Leon nodded.
"Yes. We're traveling through sea. Soon, I'll take you around the world. We'll ride something that flies in the sky," He gently explained to her.
Anika's eyes widened.
"Really?!" She happily exclaimed.
Leon chuckled and nodded.
"I promise," His solemn voice vowed.
Anika happily hugged him.
Leon held her in his arms tightly and whispered huskily in her ear.
