Chapter 23 - Other woman?

"Do you know why else we're here?" Leon asked Anika as they were eating.

They were now sitting inside their table in a secluded corner. Leon likes his privacy, but he was with his family and wanted them to see people and fully experience eating out with others, so instead of getting a private room, he opted for a secluded corner, quiet and at peace but can still see other people.

At their table were a variety of delicious dishes. There were meat and vegetable dishes and Leon made sure to give them the right balance for nutrition.

Anika chewed her food as she shook her head at Leon.

Leon smiled and wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"Well, we are here to plan our wedding. We'll meet a coordinator later." He gently told her.

Anika tilted her head as she studied him.

"Wedding?" She said cluelessly. It turns out, the little woman didn't know what it was.

Leon caressed her hair softly and explained.

"Well, it is a ceremony to declare as husband wife, after that we would legally be a couple," He said, thinking he should let her watch videos of how a wedding goes, or not. Just let the wedding coordinator explain.

Ceremony? Although Anika had not seen one yet, she still nodded her head slowly.

Leon smiled and added more food to Anika's plate. He then turned to his daughter to assist her in eating.

After they finished their main course, it was time for dessert. Leon ordered those that kids enjoy, as he knew they would like them.

"This is ice cream, careful it is cold," Leon said to them as he gave them an exquisitely looking ice cream.

Both mother and daughter's eyes brightened and were locked on the sweet-looking treat.

"Wow, yummy!" Adelaide cheered happily.

Anika was also enthralled by the taste of the tasty treat. The cold dessert melts on her tongue and a burst of sweetness and flavor filled her mouth. It was truly delicious.

Leon chuckled and watched happily at his girls enjoying their dessert heartfully.

After their lunch, Leon took them to the fourth floor of the mall for their appointment with the wedding planning.

They entered the establishment and were immediately greeted by an elderly woman.

"Mr. Albrecht! It is our honor for you to choose our brand," Mrs. Davids greeted with a smile as they shook hands.

"Thank you. This is my fiancé Anika, and my daughter," Leon greeted back and introduced Anika and his daughter to her.

"Greetings, Ma'am Anika, welcome please," She also shook Anika's hand and led them to seat on one of their couches.

Anika smiled at the enthusiastic woman and followed Leon in sitting.

"Here are our catalogs and portfolios. Anything you want, just let us know." Mrs. Davids distributed their glossy catalogs to them and motioned to her assistants to take out more.

Leon took it and presented it to Anika, sitting close to her till their thighs meet. Their daughter, Adelaide, sat beside Anika obediently, curiously looking around but not making trouble.

"Let's choose a design and venue that you like, hm?" Leon asked her gently.

Anika glanced at him and looked at the book he placed before her. He was flipping them slowly to show her one by one.
