Chapter 60 - Power

After Leon settled and calmed Anika down, he and Alexander went out again to handle the matter quickly.

In his mind, he was not desperate for the bidding project. And he wouldn't sacrifice his family just for this.

Even though that old woman had high status, he would make her apologize to his family.

Leon thought coldly as he made some phone calls.

While Anika continued to spend time with Sera. As of now, the ladies were avoiding them like a plague, as if afraid that they would be implicated.

But Sera didn't mind. She was also not interested in hanging out with those fake and plastic rich ladies.

She preferred to be with Anika. Although she was still whispering how stupid she was but in her mind, she thought,

She's so stupid, who will defend her if she gets bullied?

Sera sighed like an old mother. Therefore, she decided to take it to herself to watch over this stupid lady.

She would reluctantly accept her as a friend like the big girl that she is. Sera thought with a pointed nose.

With that, her heart settled, and was finally at peace with hanging out with Anika, having such righteous thoughts in her mind.

While Anika didn't know she was being treated as a child by the little girl who was younger than her. In the future, she could only laugh helplessly.

The casual banquet ended, and Leon still hasn't come back. But he personally sent his secretary to pick them up and send them back to the hotel.

Anika watched the leaving car after they were dropped at the entrance.

In the darkness of the night, her eyes brightened in a golden light, her gaze still following the leaving car.

Anika woke up in the middle of the night, feeling a heavy body on top of her.

She opened her eyes, and in the darkness, she saw Leon, still in his white shirt, pinning her to the bed.

His lips had come to savor hers, his tongue prying open her lips open to thrust it in then sucking hers as if a sweet treat.

"Hmm," She hummed and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Leon noticed this and released her swollen lips.

"Awake?" His husky voice asked.

Anika's bright eyes blinked in the dimness.

"Sorry, baby, let me kiss for a while," He said in a magnetic voice, his lips going down to devour her once again.

"Uhm, it's late... don't you rest?" Anika said in between their kiss.

She was worried about Leon, and she thought he should just go on to rest now.

Leon buried his face in Anika's fragrant neck, dropping a kiss and licking it from time to time.

"I want you more..." He whispered deeply, his voice sounding very ambiguous in the darkness.

Anika then loosened up, letting him have his way with her body.

The next day was finally the event for the bidding. Anika and Leon's group still attended.

Many had mocking looks directed at the Albrecht Prime, especially those who have rivaled against them.

Among them was Victoria Miller and the old Madame they feuded with yesterday.
