"No!" Anika's exclamation rang in the hall.

Leon froze when he heard this. He looked at Anika and saw tears brimming in the corner of her eyes.

He felt something clench in his chest. He didn't expect her reaction would be this much.

"You said, if I want something, I could aim for it," Anika said with an aggrieved voice, lowering her eyes in distress.

"You said, I deserve to wish for something, I have the right to receive it. You said I could have what a normal person has," She continued, her voice breaking a bit.

"Baby.."

Anika suddenly raised her eyes, a bit of accusation in them.

"You lie.." She whispered in a soft voice and turned around to run upstairs.

"Anika!" Leon helplessly called, but the woman had immediately escaped from his eyes.

His shoulders slumped as his temples tightened, seemingly in a dilemma.

He turned back to flop on the sofa while rubbing his eyebrows.

He never expected that an insignificant and lowly person would be the cause of his first fight with his wife.

Remembering the tears in his wife's eyes and her indignation, he sighed helplessly again.

Steward Ben, who had just heard of the argument between the couple, stood hesitantly by the side.

Then he came bringing a cup of calming tea to the master.

"Sir, drink tea first to calm your nerves." He said in a low voice.

Leon only stared at the cup of tea and was lost in his thought for a moment.

"Tell me, do I need to let her get hurt first before she learns?" Suddenly, his solemn voice sounded.

Steward Ben froze for a while and stared at the head of this household.

The imposing man was now crouched lowly on the sofa, his arm resting in his knees as his hand clasped together, with a tightened expression.

Ben sighed in his heart. If it were years ago, he wouldn't imagine that the day would arrive in which he would see the young master like this.

This man, truly loved his wife. He knows he just wanted to protect the Madame, if he could just hide her in his arms, he would.

However,

"Sir, in life, there are things one needs to face on their own." Steward Ben had shown a rare seniority, depicting five decades of his life experience.

Leon looked up and stared at the man who had mostly raised him since he was young. Right now, the lines on the latter's face seemed more imminent, and he felt some rare elderly advice.

Leon sighed again and nodded. He knew it, but he was just not resigned to let the treasure in his heart bear the pain.

He took the tea and slowly drank it, spending a moment at the lounge before standing up.

He nodded once again to Steward Ben, with a respectful stance.

Steward watched the tall man walking upstairs, and felt comforted in his heart. He believes that these two people can overcome anything, with love, trust, and respect.

.......................................................................................

Leon entered the room and saw his wife lying on the bed, her face buried in her arms. He sighed again as he closed the door.
