La Push Reservation, I know what you must be thinking. I am not apart of the Quileute tribe, why am I going to school there? Imagine telling a young girl that she couldn't be with her best friend everyday, so forcing the tribe leader. She walked me through a ritual, one that I cleared perfectly. Not knowing my original blood line, it had it perks.
After school ended, Jacob, some of the boys and I headed to La Push Beach. Where we stumbled across my sister with some of her friends.
"Bella!" Jacob and I smiled.
"Jake! Hope! Hey!" Bella looked to her friends. "Guys, this is Jacob and this is my little sister Hope." Bella introduced us as hi's went around, Jake and I sat by Bella as we stole some of her red liquorice. "Are you two now stalking me?" Bella joked.
"Hey, you're on our res. Remember?" Jake huffed a small laugh.
"Don't tell me MY big sister, is surfing." I smiled at her.
"Definitely, not." Bella gave me a playful nudge.
"You guys should keep Bella company, Bella's date failed." One of Bella's girl friends spoke out randomly.
"What date?" Another guy asked in panic, all I could do was giggle. Resulting in getting a double punch by Bella and Jake. Feeling the cool ocean breeze come up, my body begun to shiver as I felt Jake pull me in closer to him to stay warm.
"She invited Edward." The girl spoke up again.
"To be polite, that's it ." Bella muted with a small smile.
"I think it's nice you invited Edward, nobody ever does." The girl said as she looked behind her to the girl in the glasses.
"Yeah, because Cullens are a freak." A guy with blonde scruffy hair added in.
"You've got that right." The boys replied back.
"You guys know him?" Bella asked them.
"The cullens don't come here." They explained.
After sitting there for what felt like forever, Jake and I invited Bella for a walk along the beach. Hoods up and snuggled beside eachother.
"So what did your friends mean, 'by the cullens don't come here'?" She questioned us.
"You caught that, huh?" I said as Jake swung an arm over my shoulder.
"We are not really meant to say anything about it." Jake added.
"Hey, I can keep a secret." Bella promised.
"Umm." Jake started with a little laugh. "It's just really an old scary story."
"Well, I wanna know. Hope gets to learn this with you, I wanna learn it too." Bella smiled, making me smile at my big sister. She gave me a wink.
"Well, did you know that Quentin are supposably decent from wolves?" Jake stopped in his tracks for a second to scratch his leg, he continued to walk on. Still with his arm over my shoulder.
"What?" Bella was kind of speechless. "Like wolves?" Jake laughed.
"Hope had the same reaction, but yeah." I laughed along with him.
"Like real wolves?" Bella questioned again.
"Yeah, that's the legend of our tribe." Jake finished.
"Ok? So what's the story of the cullens?" She persisted.
"They are supposably decent from this like- enemy clan." I begun, looking up to Jake. He started to continue for me, knowing I wasn't to sure on what to say.
"My great great grandfather, chief. Found them hunting on our land, but they claim to be something different. So, we made a treaty with them. If they promise to stay off Quileute land, then we wouldn't expose what they really were. To the pale faces." He tried to offend us with a small joke.
"I thought they just moved here?" Bella asked confused.
"Or, just moved back." I looked to my sister, she just played it off like it was nothing. Hearing a squeal, which made us all jump. As we watched Bella's friends muck around. Jake started to walk off, Bella grabbed my arm.
"What are they really?" She stared me down.
"It's just a story, Bella. Come on, let's go home." I dragged her along to catch up with Jake. She stayed quiet, it kinda freaked me out to be honest.
