wasn't easy.

I sat there leaning against one of the trucks, my knees brought up to my chest as I hid my head. My heart shattering for hours with every ounce of screaming that came from inside the Black house. Emily stood with Billy as Paul stood beside me.

My body shook from anxiety, not being able to head inside. As Sam still needed to have the chat with me, I sighed heavily as Paul placed a comforting hand on top of my head. The boys and Leah spoke amongst themselves, Embry was proud of me. "Hope, you are so sick. Like how you disobeyed Sams order, then lit up the red headed vampire so easily!"

"Then Jacob had to butt in like that- I could've-." Leah started up again, Paul looking down to me. Seeing how nervous I was, he spoke up. Saying to Leah.

"Oh, give it a rest. Leah."

"You know, since Hope is so great. She should be in there, instead of Jake!" Leah barked up to Paul.

"That enough!" Paul rose his voice, as I had enough as well.

"Back off, I'm warning you." I threatened her as I rose my head up, flashing my werewolf eyes. She stood back and lowering her head as the door opened. Carlisle and Sam came back outside.

"The worse is over, he'll be alright." Carlisle looked amongst us all. "I gave him some morphine, but his body heat will burnt it out of him before it'll be able to set properly. I'll be back to set up a drip."

"Thank you." Billy looked at Carlisle with relief, offering his hand. They shook in mutual respect, Carlisle looking over to me. He gave me a nod.

"He's asking for you." Carlisle begun as I got to my feet, walking past me. He patted my shoulder, saying softly. "Thank you for saving my son." As Carlisle walked off, the cool La Push breeze blew through me as I looked to Sam. His eyes dripping with sympathy, he gave me a head gesture. Signalling it was all ok, allowing me to walk past him. I made my way to Jakes room, standing there in his doorframe. I sighed heavily as Jacob gave a small smile.

"Hey Jake." I said softly, looking at his skin shine from the amount of sweat he was producing, his right side of his body was wrapped up to support the healing progress.

"H-hey." He struggled to reply, walking over to him. I crouched beside his bed, I looked at him with worried eyes. "I was worried about you."

"You were worried about me?" I questioned, looking at the state of him.

"Has Sam said anything to you yet?" He asked as I shook my head.

"He just gave me a look, he doesn't seem as mad at me anymore... or you." I replied, feeling the heat come off of his body.

"Well damn, he does have a soft spot for you." I huffed a small laugh.

"Not as big of a soft spot as you have for me." I replied cheekily. Hearing Jacobs breath shake as he smiled slightly, I adjusted my seat from my knees to my side.

"You have no idea, how scared I was. When you disappeared after Victoria, I thought you were gone." I pressed my lips together. "But as Carlisle was telling me, you kicked some serious ass."

"I scared you? You scared me, I thought I was going to lose you." I placed my hand on his winged arm, he smirked.

"Wasn't easy, getting you to admit your feelings for me." I smiled as I shook my head at him.

"I only fought against my feelings, because I was scared to lose you. Cause I thought you liked my sister more." I explained to him, as he took a deep breath in.

"Us together Hope, is as easy as breathing. You have no idea, how my world moves with you in it." He commented, making a large smile appear upon my face.

"You know I love you more then anything in this world

"You know I love you more then anything in this world." I told him, watching as his breathing relaxed massively. The smell of the morphine on board was strong, I could smell it coming out of his pores.

Standing up, he looked at me worried. Making me narrow my eyebrows at him. "Where are you going?" He asked, worried.

"Thought you might want some rest." I explained. Realising what he was wanting. "Did you want me to stay?" I asked as he nodded, trying to move over. He stopped as he groaned in pain. "I'm not laying in your pool of sweat." I folded my arms.

"Hope, I have legit seen your naked body before we have even had sex. I think the boundary line doesn't exist for us." He replied, rolling my eyes. I stepped over him on his bed, laying beside him as I felt the sweat soaking into my clothes. I squirmed as Jacob wrapped an arm around my waist, wrapping me into him. He crushed his lips against mine, kissing me oh so gently.

I guess that is one way to distract me from the sweat pool under me
