Dear Diary, I am alright. I'm learning how to live with my powers, it's getting easier by the day. Funny enough, Charlie gave me a piece of advice that kind of stuck. I asked him how he copes with the stresses of work and he said.
"I found my own anchor, the thought of you girls. Keeps me afloat."
Which made me think, what and who is my anchor. Outside of home, it had always been Jacob and I. So... I focused my energy when I felt like I was going to tip, on him.
Hearing what sounded like rocks hit my bedroom window, I looked over my shoulder as I sat on my desk. Literally watching rocks connect with the window, I got up from my seat tensed. Whispering Latin to myself, I brought up a protective orb on my hand once again. Peaking over the edge, I sighed in relief as I spotted Jacob standing there. Shirtless and blue Jean shorts with sneakers. Opening the window, I looked down at Jacob confused.
"Jacob?" I narrowed my eyebrows down at him.
"Move back, I'm coming up." Taking a step back, I watched as he slipped through the window with an ease. Awkwardly smiling at him, he just came out with. "Hey."
"What are you doing here?" I huffed a small laugh, looking past him at my clock. "It's 11:30 at night.""Well." He begun, taking a seat on my bed. "You're my best friend, I can be open with you and tell you what I need. Unlike the pack, where they literally play around in my head." He sighed.
"What's wrong?" I questioned as I folded my arms.
"It might be weird, but I want your opinion with Bella. Cause you know how I like her, she just keeps-." He looked down at his hands awkwardly. Walking up to him, smelling the Wolfy musk on him. I took a hand full of his hair in my hand.
"Listen to me, she doesn't deserve you. Her still obsessing over that blood sucker and always breaking your heart, even if she doesn't mean to. I love you, with my whole being. Find someone who wants to be obsessed with you, ok?" I stated to him, letting go of his hair. He looked up at me pleased, he and I have always been open with each other with everything. I could tell from his glare, he appreciated my advice.
"Thanks Hope... how are you feeling after the events from the other day?" He checked in, taking ahold of my hand.
"I'm fine, getting better with dealing with my emotions." I replied, seeing a sparkle behind Jacobs eyes. "There is something you're not telling me, spit it." I gritted my teeth together, taking a step back from him.
"Hope-." I cut him off.
"Jacob!" I shouted softly, not wanting to wake the house hold up. Watching his muscles tense up, he spoke.
"Found out that the red head that's after Bella, because she's a human who dealt with Vampires. Somehow knows about you." Taking another step back from Jake, I looked at him shocked.
"Victoria... wants me? What for?"
"We think she wants to activate your vampire side, sire you to her. Make her untouchable." Jacob explained as I placed a hand on my chest, trying to control my breathing.
"Hey." Jacob said, bringing me into a tight hug. His warmth was comforting, listening to his heartbeat beating against his chest. I focused on that to calm me down.
"I would suggest you and I getting out of this town for a while. But you wouldn't want to run away from a fight, you would want to stay here to help keep everyone safe. But I promise you, that red headed nut job... will not touch a hair on your pretty head."
