"She's the first of her kind, with a terrifying amount of power. She's one of natures loop holes, there has been so much pain and death to keep her alive. Her blood isn't human." - Alice Cullen.
Isolating yourself can be... therapeutic. Spending time helping dad brought me back to the good old days, the simple life. Before I was a Tribrid , before Jacob was a wolf and before the Cullens came into my family and before Bella moved back.
It's been peaceful, it's been giving me time to regain old talents. Such as painting, which makes Charlie happy. He says he sees it relax me and says I have been managing better since everything, been able to express myself in a healthy way.
Hearing a knock at my open bedroom door, I looked over my shoulder and smiled as I noticed Charlie standing there.

"Hey dad."
"Hey, I just wanted to let you know I am heading into work for a little bit and won't be home till later." I nodded to him understandably, knowing his job can be a lot of coming and going. He was hesitant, he didn't want to leave me.
"I am all good, go. Go and save the world." I made the shoo shoo hand motion, he laughed. Walking up to me, placing a gentle kiss upon the top of my head.
"I love you." He muttered into my hair.
"I love you too, now go." I replied as I gave him a playful push. He waved me goodbye as he made his way out of the house, hearing his car drive off down the road. I sighed heavily, gaining the craving for a hot chocolate. I made my way downstairs, flicking the kettle on. I sighed heavily as I placed my hands on the kitchen bench, dropping my shoulders.
"You know, Jacob is outside. Right?" I heard my other self say behind me, narrowing my eyebrows as I looked over my shoulder at her. She pointed out the window, following the direction. She was right, there he was. Emerging from the forest, making his way for the house. "Wonder what he wants." She giggled behind me, rolling my eyes at her.
I headed for the back door, swinging it open as Jacob looked up from the wet soft grass. I stopped on the top step as our eyes locked, he stopped in his tracks as he sighed heavily.
"Hey." I said bluntly.
"Hey." He replied a bit more softer, we took a few steps towards each other. Meeting half way. "How are you?"
"Fine. Why are you here?" I asked as I folded my arms, raising an eyebrow at him.
"I think we are due for a long awaited talk."
"So, you want to talk to me now?" I snarled.
"I do apologise, I needed a moment to reflect." He tried to explain. "You have no idea how nice it is, knowing that I am looking at the real you."
"Let me out, let me play with him!" My other self yelled behind me begging.
"How do you know this is the real me? Huh?" I took a step towards him, making him take a step back. "I could go on a killing spree, turn this blood to red. A permanent mark on the map, literally." I huffed a laugh, taking a step towards him again. Reaching behind me, reaching for the silver I smelt that hid in his back pocket. He flinched as I placed the silver on his chest. "So, what are you going to do to stop me?"
"I'm not afraid of you." He shook his head.
"Of course not, cause you don't know what it means to be a leader and or make decisions. It means getting your hands dirty." I snatched the silver dagger out of his hand, placing the sharp end on my chest. Right on my heart as I grabbed his hand to hold the other end, his heart beat was rapid. He was anxious. "It means, putting a blade through the chest of someone you love." I sighed internally, thinking of Eric. I hummed amused. "This sword won't even kill me and you cannot bring yourself to do it."
"This isn't you." He was right, I let her in. She slipped through the cracks. But she was right.
"This is me, so much for the talk. You want to talk to me, you want to start over. You have to earn me." I shoved him, heading back for the house.
