"Can McKay spend Christmas with us?" Cassie asks.
"Yes, but he is not sleeping in your room." Mom says.
"But—" Cassie asks.
"I don't care what you have to say. He can not sleep in your room." Mom says.
"Y/n slept in the room before she left." Cassie says.
"That's different." Mom says.
"Why? Because they can't get pregnant?" Cassie asks.
"See, you do have a brain. Use it more often, honey." Mom says walking away.
"Mom!" Cassie says following mom.
My phone rings and I answer it.
"Hello." I say.
"Hey, Lex." Y/n says.
"Oh my god, I haven't heard from you in so long." I say.

"I know, I know. Um, I'm coming home for Christmas." Y/n says.
Last Christmas on my own
Y/n left for the Marines last year after she graduated. We talk every now and then but not enough.
"That's so good to hear." I say.
This Christmas, you come home
"I thought you forgot about me or something." I say.
I thought you went Frozone
"Absolutely not. I'm heading out tomorrow at 800." Y/n says.
But now I'm not alone (Alone)
"What?" I ask.
"800, 8 AM." Y/n says.
"Oh, okay." I say.
"I'm landing the day after tomorrow at 1500 — sorry — 3 PM." Y/n says.
"Okay, we can come get you." I say.

I'll take you straight to Mars (Oh)
"Alright, I love you." Y/n says.

"I love you too." I say before hanging up.

The door opens and Y/n and mom come in.

Waitin' for the plane to arrive
I hug Y/n tightly and she smiles.
"I missed you so much." Y/n says.
I smile and she kisses me.
"Kinda cold out there." Mom says.
Need you by the fireplace tonight
Gettin' cold, I need you inside
"Where did they go?" Mom asks.
Where you at? I'll meet your family
"Who?" I ask.
"Cassie and—" Mom says.
"Oh, hell no." Mom says.
"Cassandra!" Mom shouts going upstairs.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" I ask.
"Cause I really missed you." Y/n says.
