**Anam
Olu came with a washbasin filled with water and a towel inside the water with soap. He put it on top of the chair and then came to me on the bed.
Him: I brought you water
Me: thank you
We sat there in awkward silence. I decided to break the ice.
Me: can I wash... alone
He looked at me for a while and squinted his eyes
Him: you don't trust me?
Me: yeah well do you blame me?
Him: Anam I would never hurt you
Me: you have me locked up in here Olunje... that's kind of hard to buy given the circumstances
Him: fine. I'll wait outside then
With that he stood up and walked out, locking me inside of cause. He wants me to trust him and yet he continues doing things that make me trust him less and less by the day. I took my clothes off and started washing, when I was done I wore my things again and sat back on the bed waiting for lord knows. I kept thinking about the dream I had about Marcel and I, why did it seem so real? Why did it seem as though we were communicating via dreams? I mean yeah sure I tend to dream of things and they happen but this, this was new to me. It felt like we were connected to each other in a way unimaginable. Could this be true love or me being here is making me wish for things that aren't possible, not even science can explain this. A few minutes later into my thinking, Olunje walked in
Him: I thought you would still be lotioning your body
Me: I'm not one of those girls that take 20 hours to get ready
Him: you lying. You scared of me. You scared I might hurt you
Me: yes actually. What's to stop you from trying anything?
He kept quiet looking like he was processing what I had just said.
Him: fine.
He took the water and walked out with it leaving the door open. A few minutes later the lady from earlier on walked in.
Her: he won't be gone for long. We have to go
Me: you taking me home?
Her: yes, I'm taking you to your mom in exchange of the papers
Me: thank you
With that we walked out, Samke was waiting for us in the lounge with my phone and hers in her hand.
Sam: what took so long?
Lady: she's annoyingly inquisitive
She rolled her eyes at me. Samke took my hand and dragged me behind her to the door
"What are you doing?"
We turned and Olunje was standing by the doorway leading to the lounge
Sam: we have to take her home. We already running late
Lady: we doing something you clearly are not ready to do yet
Sam: Zanele let me handle this one please
Zan: no. Why are you so scared of your son? He's a boy for Christ sake!
Olu: I'm not a boy. I'm a man!
Zan: oh please. A man has the guts to accept that he is not loved. That's a real man and not this thing you call yourself
Sam: Zanele no don't do this
