It was the first day of school 2nd semester and I was not looking forward to it especially with my girlfriend/ex or whatever being a drive away from me now. Mom wasn't happy to hear that I'm not on speaking terms with Nam and really I didn't care because she enters nowhere, my sisters have been begging me to talk to her and fix things or at least answer her calls but nah she and I needed a break just until I can make sense of what she did and why she did it. We arrived on campus yesterday night. There's a letter that came from me with a return address from Mthatha of which I don't even know who it's from but it mentions something about attorneys and stuff. I've been meaning to open it but every time I plan to open it something grabs my attention. Anyway We were in preparing to go to class, Nathan and I.

Him: you missed out dude!

Me: I know bruh. I know

Him: how can you be so stupid?

Me: what are you talking about? My girlfriend needed me

Him: who is not your girlfriend anymore of which you are miserable without her

Me: I don't know what you talking about

Him: you mean to tell me that you went back to Tshani to dump her?

Me: no! I wanted answers

Him: and now that you got them you felt it best to dump her?

Me: Nathan come on

Him: I'm just trying to make sense of this whole thing. I mean you love this girl, fact that you would leave you dream just to be with her and then suddenly you ending things just like that?

Me: what was I supposed to do Nathan?

Him: talk to her. try understand why she did what did

Me: there's no excuse for what she did

Him: she could have died with that psychopath; the guy could have raped her. why can't you just be happy that she's alive?

Me: those are the things you should be saying to her and not. I'm glad she made it out alive don't get me wrong but to try kill yourself all because it's too much for you to handle? What fuckery is that?

Him: let's just go to class before we late. We'll talk about this properly after class

We took our stuff and walked out to class. It was going to be a long as day today and we had a visitor from the conference that happened last weekend. Schools opened on a Wednesday and we had an 8am class which was just great... we met Jay on our way to class. He was his happy hippy self as usual...

Jay: if it isn't the Charles Hopkins future neurologists

We chuckled

Me: hey kiddo

Nate: hey kid how are you?

Him: just glad to be back with my guys

Me: that just sounds gay

Him: of cause it would because you gay!

Nate: get a room already

We both pushed him laughing. I didn't realise how much I had missed these two dweebs until I was actually with them talking and laughing as we made our way to our separate classes. The class was 2 hours and after that we had another one for an hour and that was it for the day. Had I known that neurology was like this I would have went with another course instead. After class I was walking with Nate on our way back to our Dome when Terrence walked up to us.

Him: hey guys

Us: hey man

Him: when last did you talk to Merissa?
