"That's great! We can win! With weapons like that, killing Titans will be as easy as breathing!"

Marlo shouts from beside me, I scoot further away from him and closer to Sasha not to be in the range of his yelling.

"You're so damn excitable." Jean comments while taking a sip from his mug, I nod in agreement as I hit Sasha's hand away from my bowl of soup.

"You should know better than to be this pumped about joining the scouts." Marlo's face drops as Jean says that but he is right, joining the scouts is a death sentence.

"That reminds me. Didn't Hitch try to convince you to stay an MP?" Sasha speaks up, and the thought of Hitch runs through my mind.

She believed she and Annie were friends.

I don't think Annie and I are friends, were we ever?

I grow sad thinking about it, now we'll never have time to be friends. She's gone.

I should consider visiting her.

My thoughts end when I see Sasha laughing with Connie, and Marlo is speaking again something about Hitch.

"Hitch did tell me off before, saying I wasn't cut out to be a real soldier. She told me I should stop acting cool and just coast along in life. I had thought she was better than that, so I told her I was wrong about it."

"Asshole," Jean mutters while Sasha adds on. "No brain under that bowl cut."

"Calm down, he didn't say anything wrong."

I shrug my shoulders at what Eren says, reaching for my bread only to see it gone. I look up to Sasha as she has bread in her hand, I'm not dumb and can easily put two and two together.

"Sasha! Seriously?!" I shout as I scold her, bringing my hand to grab her face as my other one begins to beat on the back of her head.

"Spit. It. Out!" I shout as she won't give me my bread from her hand, and since she already ate hers, I refuse to let her have mine also.

"You seriously want food that is already in her mouth Adelita?" Jean says while moving his eyebrows in a questioning way. I nod my head furiously as I stop hitting her now bringing my hand to her mouth.

"Oh, gross. Come on." Connie comments as I begin to try to pry her mouth open.

"Adelita, stop just take my bread," Armin says pushing his plate to me only for Sasha to take it with her other hand, my mouth drops open.

"Are you kidding me?!" I shout shaking Sasha harder; she begins to grunt trying to push me away from her.

"Armin gave me that! Not you!" I shout to her; Connie rolls his eyes now starting to hit Sasha's back.

"Just give the food. Armin gave his girlfriend that bread, don't be rude now." My face heats up at the mention of Connie saying that word.

Are Armin and I even dating? I mean, we never confirmed it.

"Ugh! I give up! Keep the damn bread!" I shout pushing Sasha away from me as laughs erupt from her mouth, as she takes bites out of both of the slices of bread she successfully took.

"Anyways," Jean says trying to switch to another topic and forget all that just happened. "The only people as excited as you are the recruits with no real battle experience."

A boy with lots of red hair turns around and faces us. "Gimme a break. You think you some hardened veteran now?"

The boy smiles as if it is all fun, but Jean doesn't look a bit pleased. "I know I am, compared to you at least."
