"Are you nervous?" The words leave Sasha's mouth with a smile, I give her a soft smile back. "Yeah, I'm not going to lie... we pull this off, we'll be amazing," I respond to her as she stands holding a hand out for me.

I accept it, giving her one last smile as we go our separate ways.

Sasha has a good eye; she's going to snipe for us from far above. Try to keep us from the danger we can't see, my goal is to make sure everything goes alright.

I'm on the floor with most of the soldiers.

I swing around the area taking in my surroundings, being cautious as Mikasa handles everything with Eren.

I spot some of the soldiers making a mess, they're in trouble and can't seem to keep it on their own.

Lowering myself I begin to shoot, shooting all of the warriors dead.

I watch the life drain from their eyes; I frown it's something I could never get used to.

"What the hell, we were told to keep the casualties low," I speak out causing the one person I can't stand the most to turn around, Floch.

"You're killing innocent civilians. Stop it."

"Everyone here is just an enemy. These are just our enemy's homes. Don't forget what they did to us, oh I forgot you are one of them."

He speaks with rudeness dripping from his voice, I grit my teeth as the hold on my gear becomes tighter.

I lift my hand as I begin to hit him in the head. "I am in charge here! I am giving the damn orders! You will listen to me, and what I said is final!"

I yell out as I hit him harder, he covers his head with his hands trying to get me to stop but I only continue. He will never not get under my skin, always I will be wishing that he could just die already.

"Adelita, cut it out." I hear from behind me, a hand grabbing mine stopping me from what I'm doing.

I sigh looking Floch in the eyes, "alright. I'm done." I tell Jean allowing him to remove his hold from me.

I take a step beside Jean crossing my arms while looking off at all the people running, all of them fleeing for their lives.

All of the children were being thrown or gunned down.

I close my eye not wanting to see anymore.

"But seriously Floch. Get those rotten ideas out of your head." Jean tells him only for Floch to not listen to a word he spoke.

"Look there. He's telling us something. That we have to fight. We can't just cower behind our walls, waiting for death to come. We need to fight like he does. Like devils."

I throw the light I have to Jean, "You place the light up. I can't even deal with him."

Jean nods as I move away from this roof, swinging to wherever I'm needed.

But then I see it, a woman is stuck underneath a piece of rock. Both her legs are crushed as a young child is beside her, tears streaming down his face as he tries to push the rock off of her.

That isn't my problem.

I don't know that kid or that woman.

Thoughts surround my head about how I need to leave them be, but I just can't I won't be able to hold myself up if I knew I left someone in such a desperate situation.

A situation that they didn't ask to be in on top of that.

Forgetting everything that is needed I fall to the floor in front of them, the child's eyes widen as he starts to scream. The woman's eyes begin to droop lower as she points for her child to run.
