Chapter Eighteen

I fall against the side of a building, gasping while poking at my eye I can't see a single thing. I punch the building beside me while screaming out.

My kindness cost me my right eye, but I don't have time to throw a fit I have to control the bleeding. Since I have no bandages, I must use what I have which is cloth from my clothes.

I proceed to take a huge piece of my shirt out and tie it diagonally across my face. Tying it tight enough that it cannot fall off.

Once I do that, I decide I need to get off the ground, I need to be somewhere high above.

I swing across buildings looking for anyone I can stay alongside because I cannot see I need to have eyes on both the titans that are running around.

I swing myself to the ground when I spot someone laying there, it is Mikasa she seems to have been hit down.

"Mikasa. Mikasa!" I yell as I approach her, but she doesn't budge she stays on the ground. More things are being thrown and falling beside us, but it is scaring me that it may hit us next so I do the only thing I can think of.

I bring my hand to Mikasa's face and slap her while screaming her name. Eventually, I see her hand move in one swift movement she sits herself up while grabbing a fistful of my hair.

"Let go!"

I scream at her she quickly does, and I brush my fingers through my hair to calm myself.

"Eren." That is the only word she speaks I shake my head at her, "no. We need to get off the ground before we get hurt, Eren is fine."

As I say that a new piece of a smashed building comes at us, Mikasa grabs my arm while swinging us to a building above. Since we are now above ground, we can get a look at what is happening Annie and Eren are fighting terribly.

I try my hardest to follow what is happening, but it is hard when my eye is all messed up. I groan in pain while grabbing at my eye, the adrenaline is coming down so now I can feel the pain.

"What happened?" Mikasa asks while breaking contact with Eren and Annie, I keep holding my eye in pain as I explain.

"Eren finally turned titan, and now he is-." But Mikasa cuts me off when she grabs my face and turns my head to hers.

"No, what happened to you?"

My cheeks go red, and I pull her away from my face. "I got too close to Eren, and I guess it took my eye."

"It's still bleeding through the cloth; we'll have to get you real bandages soon."

I nod and we go back to watching Eren and Annie, Mikasa is looking around though she isn't watching them anymore.

She grabs my arm again and swings us to another building, letting go of me I fall to the floor of the roof.

"We need to help him!" Mikasa exclaims I look up and see Hange, they're watching Eren carefully.

"No, you need to stay away. Getting too close is dangerous." I say looking up from the floor, now everyone can my bleeding eye. Armin gasps and bends down to my level, "are you alright?" He asks quietly I nod and stand up, Hange pulling me towards themself.

"You stay with me; Commander Erwin doesn't know to trust you."

I nod while placing my head down, I can feel the blood trailing down my face to my neck and to my clothes. I feel disgusting.

Eren's screams are in the background as I try to tune them out, I gasp when I finally do look up. Seeing Eren on fire while on top of Annie, she looks shocked like she doesn't know what to do. I can still make that out with my one eye.

Eren grips at Annie's face and begins to pull on it while she screams, she punches him causing him to fall back giving her time to run off. Running straight to the wall where she begins to climb.

"She is trying to escape!" Jean yells, but I don't know if she'll make it Eren is holding on pretty tight. She kicks him off of her while he bites on the foot, causing him to fall to the ground while blood gushes from her leg.

"I won't let her!" Mikasa yells while jumping off the building, she slices Annie's fingers off one side of the wall. While she goes and slices the others causing Annie to fall, she jumps on Annie's face speaking to her but soon jumps off before she hits the ground.

As she falls down Eren then proceeds to jump on top of her, ripping her limbs from her body it is a horrifying sight.

I watch as Eren comes close to Annie's face, his titan mouth opened wide I scream out.

"Stop him! He is going to eat her!"

Everyone else who is watching has wide eyes, I can feel the only eye I have left watering because he is going to kill her. And no one is going to stop him, I turn to Hange my eyes wider than ever.

"Please stop him! You can't get information out of her if she is dead, he is going to eat my sister!"

"Eren back off!" Jean yells to him everyone starts to yell at Eren he won't stop, I can't stand there and watch my sister be devoured so I try to jump off the building Hange grabs me.

"No! Stop it! He can't kill her, not Annie!"

I try to break free from Hange's hold, but I can't they're holding me too tight no matter how hard I pull. Why should I care if Annie lives? She didn't care about me, but still, I find myself caring for her more than she ever did for me.

Eren bites at Annie's nape breaking it, I scream even louder in response to it.

A blue light shines from below right before he goes to eat her, I stop screaming silently crying from one of my eyes or eye I guess.

"Are they merging?" Armin asks as we watch what is going on, Eren's titan form is melting into Annie's as she turns into something.

But Eren can't do anything because he is stopped by Captain Levi.

Once Levi pulls Eren out of his titan I kick Hange, causing them to lose balance giving me enough time to hop from the building. Everyone else follows behind me, I run as fast as I can to Annie but it's not her instead it is a crystal in place.

I look at it wide-eyed confused, because even though I didn't listen to Annie and did my own thing. What am I supposed to do without her here? Without her telling me how to do something, without her keeping me safe?

I need her because I can't make it without her.

I take a seat beside her crystal placing my head between my legs, silently crying while rocking back and forth. Now with Annie gone they're going to take me; they no longer trust me.

Who knows what they will do to me?

"Come out! Get the hell out! All the shit we've been through, and we get this!" Jean shouts while hitting at Annie's crystal. I continue to cry while rocking back and forth ignoring everyone surrounding me, because what does this mean for me?

I think a really sad trait about Adelita is even though she said she is alone, she depends on people like how she is feeling many things because she doesn't know how to feel with Annie gone. But anyways who ships Adelita and Mikasa because i do!
