Chapter Sixty-Four

Finally catching myself I decide to find everyone else; Armin must know what to do.

Someone must know what to do.

I spot them all quickly since almost everyone else around me is dead, landing on the roof I see Jean with the boy who ate Porco.

Porco gave his life to him so the boy wouldn't have to stay Titan, Marcel would be proud.

"Are you all fine? I mean no one's fine, but you guys good?"

They all nod their heads at me as I move to stand behind Armin, wrapping my arms around his neck as he sits on the roof.

I don't want to die, but if I do I must spend all my remaining time with everyone I love.

And I love Armin the most.

"It's over. Maniac or not, I never thought Eren would slaughter everyone who lives outside the walls. But when he's done, everyone who hates us will be dead. The entire outside world was a threat to our existence, and now it's going to be trampled flat and left empty. These people called us 'island devils.' Said we'd kill them all unless they killed us first. We became what they thought we were, and we're doing what they feared we'd do because we have to. In the end, it's on them. This is only happening because the world picked a fight and lost."

Jean looks like he's lost everything, as he's basically given up.

"There wasn't anything that we could have done differently, was there?"

"But even so... Eren is going too far. He's committing genocide against the world."

Armin says in response to Jean.

"Well, then. What do we do? Should we stop him? Think about it. Eren tricked Zeke and kept him from castrating us all with his euthanization plan. And Historia could've taken the Founder, but Eren opposed that cause it would've cost her life. He did this for his friends. Eren wants to protect us, even if it means killing everybody else on the planet. He's doing something more horrible than we can imagine, for our sakes."

The memory of us all two years ago hits me, what Eren said that day, what he said to all of us.

"Because you're important to me, more than anyone else."

What was to come after that was only a nightmare, how I wish I could go back to then before all this started happening.

Before we started ignoring the signs.

A loud explosion startles all of us, as it pulls our attention to it.

"What was that? Wait a sec. The Titans are going after our soldiers? Did all the Marleyan troops get eaten? But why, Eren is using the Founder's power? He should have total control over all these Titans!"

Jean angrily steps up beside Armin.

"Who cares why?! They are eating us! Let's go help!"

Mikasa pushes her arm onto him causing Jean to slow his movements.

"Jean, wait! What will you do with the kid?!"

"I don't know, but when he turned. I think he ate the Jaw Titan. That means we can use him, and feed him to one of our guys who Zeke transformed. We can bring someone back."

I step up placing my hands on the boy.

"No. Give me him I'll keep him safe. This kid didn't ask for this."

Another voice cuts me off, Connie.

"No. We'll feed him to my mom. Take him to Ragako and feed him to her. All right?"
