The next day has arrived and so has the time for us to leave, but along the way there Pieck came back and informed us of some not-so-good news.

The Jaegerists beat us there and captured the harbor, it doesn't look good for us.

It looks like the odds are against us but that doesn't matter, we're stronger than them and we'll try our hardest or die trying.

And I rather take my own life than have a Jaegerists take it.

That's pathetic.

As of now we've come to a stopping point a little further away from the harbor, we're planning the approach we will take and what we will do if it fails.

"We have no choice but to kill them all with our first strike. That's the only way we can secure the flying boat. To pull this off, everyone's gotta be in sync. We need our Titan power and your firepower. Understood?"

I stand on the opposite side of Annie as she orders us all around.

"Just hold on a second." Connie interrupts, "what's the problem?" Annie asks.

Connie doesn't answer but instead Mikasa does.

"The Jaegerists are holding all the Azumabito hostage. We need to keep them out of the line of fire."

But Annie doesn't look at all phased about this, she doesn't even look like she cares.

"You expect me to care about that?"

Looks like I was right.

"We won't protect people who've attacked our homeland just cause they're distant cousins."

"But if we do that the rest of the plan would fall apart. We need the hostages right, Onyankopon?"

I speak turning to look at Onyankopon, he nods in response.

"Yeah, we need them alive. I should be able to pilot their boat, but we gotta get it into flying shape. That's the problem. We need the mechanics to set up the wings. Otherwise, none of us gonna be flying anywhere. The wings are folded up to make it easier to tow, so they'll need to be extended and secured. And even then, there's still more to do before we can get airborne. The original plan was to hangar it till we had some pilots trained, so we're skipping a lot of steps."

Reiner steps up.

"Start to finish, how long is it gonna take to service?"

Onyankopon face drops. "I couldn't say. It'll be up to the mechanics."

"I get it. But to confirm, you're asking us to protect the Azumabito technicians from the Jaegerists long enough to get the boat ready to fly. And let me guess. You want us to hold the enemy off for this unknown amount of time without killing any of them?" Annie asks while looking at all of us.

"If at all possible. We've known these guys ever since we were cadets."

Jean adds on making me scoff.

"That doesn't matter Jean. They won't hesitate to kill us, and we shouldn't either." I don't care if it seems heartless, it's the truth.

They don't seem to care about any of the lives they've taken already.

"Well, then we need a plan. Tell me the plan you've got in place to keep the Jaegerists occupied without killing them. Can you explain it in detail? There is a plan, right, Armin? You had one for me."

Annie's comment causes Armin to look down, his eyes dropping as his body does the same. I mean she does have all right to be upset, but she's hurt his feelings.
