Chapter Forty

Thanks to the help of the two MPs, we captured they helped us invade where the rest of the Military Police were.

Captain Levi took a soldier from the group of them to question, but as of right now he isn't talking very much.

All of us stand guard with our guns at ready, watching while the captain ruthlessly tortures the man.

"Where'd they take Eren and Krista?" The captain questions the man once more, after kicking him hard in the head but still, the man won't answer.

"You bastards. You think you're so brave. That post was manned by recruits. They barely even knew how to wipe their asses. No one's gonna think you're heroes for beating them down."

The captain's face doesn't show an ounce of remorse, because we all know he doesn't care.

"Yeah, the guilt's tearing me apart." Right after he finishes his sentence, he shoves his entire foot into the mouth of the man blood comes pouring out.

I wince at the scene; it isn't a pleasant sight.

"But what really gets me is this mouth of yours. I'm gonna suggest that you start talking, while you're still able to use it. Now, where are Eren and Krista?"

He removes his foot from the man's mouth as he begins to cough out some more blood, "you can't win. All that's left to you now, is to find some filthy corner to hide in! Covered in mud and shit! If you don't turn yourselves in, then every last Scout we captured will get the noose! Starting with the guiltiest one of all, Erwin Smith!"

The second those words leave his mouth Captain Levi changes; he quickly grabs the man pushing his chest against the tree as he bends his arm behind his back.

Screams fill the air as the sound of a crack is heard, "hurts right? That's what you get for not answering my question. Some Scouts' lives are more valuable than others. Only those dumb enough to agree join us. Again, where'd they take Eren and Krista?"

At this point, the man is crying hard, as he clings to the tree for support.

"I don't know. Nobody told me, I swear! Kenny Ackerman doesn't like to make his business known!"

"Ackerman? I know Kenny, that his last name?"

Upon hearing that both the Captain and Mikasa look shocked, I watch as Mikasa gasps turning her head to watch the man closer.

"It is, but-."

"He never was much of one for sharing information. Not important stuff, anyway. But I bet you have a rough idea. You'd best try to remember."

Once again, the captain approaches the man grabbing his arms roughly as he begs for him to stop.

"You still have plenty of bones left for me to break."

"Damn it! Are you insane?!" He questions the captain who is about to twist his arm again, he only shrugs.

"Maybe."

Sasha quickly raises her bow pointing it out towards the field, "somebody's coming towards us!"

I place my gun up and point it towards the field, quickly everyone else gets into position waiting for the intruders.

"Struggle all you want. One way or another, the Survey Corps will be destroyed." The man announces as Levi has his face into the grass, as the people come closer the captain's guard comes down.

And then the two figures pull their hoods down revealing Hange and Moblit. The captain quickly orders Sasha to get him some rope to tie up the man, she quickly does so.
