In the past four years, I have been able to make some sort of friendship with Hitch, Armin forced me to apologize to her after I spoke rudely about her.
After I did that, I realized Hitch wasn't so bad.
She told me things about Annie that I didn't know, like things they did in the Military regiment she told me Annie spoke a lot about me. And she lets me visit Annie whenever I feel like it, I don't visit Annie a whole lot for the reason that it saddens me.
And I don't need another thing to be sad about.
"All Armin does is talk with Annie, doesn't it make you jealous," Hitch asks as we make our way to the room storing Annie, I nod even though I hate to admit it.
"Yes. But I know Armin... loves me, he's made it known."
Hitch laughs while pushing me, "oh does he." She speaks in a teasing tone while sending me a wink.
I look away from her in embarrassment, I still don't find her jokes funny.
"I'm sure he has. You know make it known, he's a teenage boy after all. If I was him, I don't even think I could keep my hands off of you."
"Well, good thing you aren't him."
I tell her as I open the door for the room Armin is in, with Annie of course.
"Hey! Sorry, sir. You can talk to her all day long, but you're not allowed to touch." Hitch exclaims right as we enter the room, Armin immediately jumps from Annie while scratching his head.
I cross my arms as he stammers and begins to blush.
"No! It's not what you think, Hitch! I just... I heard that memories could be transferred between Titans like us through physical contact. So... I-I wasn't trying to do anything inappropriate to her just now, I promise."
Hitch walks closer to Armin while I follow behind her.
"Well, you are a boy at that age. I bet you'd like to do all kinds of discovering with Annie if you could."
Armin gasps trying to compose himself, I grab his shoulders bringing his body into mine.
"Armin only wants to do discovering with me. We've already discovered a bunch!"
I shout to Hitch getting annoyed at her teasing. She knows how I feel about this subject.
"Hitch, I'm sorry. Please don't ban me from coming back!" Armin pleads, placing his hands in the air and crying to Hitch.
"I wasn't planning to. Annie would get bored out of her mind if she only had me to talk to her. And occasionally Adelita, but when she comes... all she does is cry."
"Shut up, Hitch," I mumble as she only smiles.
"This is kind of annoying though. How's she this popular when all she does is sleep?"
I look at Annie, she has looked the same since the day she placed herself in here. I haven't seen her change one bit but me, I'm just doing all sorts of changing and she's missing it all.
Not like she would care.
"Your times up Armin, let's go," I tell him as I wrap my hands in his, walking off leaving Hitch behind us.
As we leave the building and make it outside Armin says something, "I wasn't going to do anything inappropriate with her. I just-."
I cut him off with a laugh. "It's fine. Hitch was just teasing."
Even though Armin makes it evident that he loves me, I still feel like the second option.
I know I shouldn't feel like it, but I do.
