Best Friends to Lovers (Percabeth AU)

For the next few days, I couldn't help but think about Luke. We had gotten along with each other, we had just clicked. But I couldn't get my feelings sorted out. I liked Luke but I liked Percy too.

But then again Percy did have a girlfriend but Luke didn't.....

I'll see how things go with Luke and I'll sort things out along the way.

Today was the first day of school for me at least and Percy had generously offered to show me around. I had gotten my schedule:

1st period: Advanced History

2nd: Greek Mythology

3rd period: PE

4th period: Chemistry

Lunch

5th period: English

6th period: Study hall

7th period: Advanced Math

8th period: Architecture

Me and Percy had PE, Greek Mythology, and English together. He showed me to my first class a little early and when we went in there was a Latino Elf dancing on the desk.

"Leo, what the hell are you doing?" Percy asked. The guy Leo climbed down the desk and wrapped an arm around Percy's shoulder, which Percy just shrugged off.

"I'm being the amazing person I am, amigo," he said with a lopsided grin. He looked at me up and down, a devilish smirk growing on his face.

"I'm Leo. You are?" He grabbed my hand bringing to his lips but before they would touch I smacked his hand, taking my hand back. He rubbed the spot.

"Damn that hurt. Remind me never to cross you." Percy chuckled wrapping an arm around my shoulders. I couldn't help but blush a little.

"That's Annabeth for you." Percy stayed a few extra minutes until the bell rung, first period officially starting.

_ Time Skip _

The day had gone by so fast it happened in a blink of an eye. But good thing is Luke had asked me to go for ice cream in 30 minutes. Bad thing is, this was my first date.

 How should I act? What should I wear? I thought

Several questions were buzzing in my head as I looked at my closet, thinking what outfit would be date appropriate. I decided to wear a plain black skirt with a plain grey shirt and a jean sweater on the top. I fixed my hair into something that looked nice and added light touches of make up. 

I heard a PING!  from my phone and saw that it was Luke. 

Luke: I'm outside your house

Me: All right. 

I put my phone away getting a little purse just to put my wallet and phone in and went downstairs. Right before I was out of the house I heard a "Where are you going dressed like that young lady?" behind me. 

"Dad. I'm going out with a friend," I say. 

"Who?" 

"Luke?" he raises an eyebrow at me. 

"And let me guess it's a guy?" he asks. 

"Dad, that's really sexist. Who says that only boys can be named Luke?" I ask. He turns red. 

"Well- I- uhm. You know what? You have a fun time sweetheart." I give him a quick kiss on the cheek and headed out the door, walking to Luke's car and sitting in the passenger seat. 

"You look great Annabeth," he complimented. I turned red and gave a small smile. 

"Thanks. And you look good too," I stutter out. The whole ride was filled with an awkward silence until we arrived there. We had gotten our ice cream and sat at a table, eating. 

"Sorry things are awkward, it's just that this is my first date and-" I blurted out but then get cut off. 

"This is your first date? I'm surprised someone as pretty as you hasn't been asked out yet. But I'm glad I'm your first," he put his hand over mine and I couldn't help but turn red at the gesture. 

For the rest of the date we talked about random things, like what movie we loved, what tv shows we like, and stuff like that. It had accidentally that I hadn't had my first kiss yet but for some weird reason, he didn't laugh at me like I had accepted. 

Once it was getting dark Luke had driven me home and right before I got out of the car, he grabbed my hand, stopping me. 

"Annie, I had a really great time. You think we could do this again sometime?" I nodded, smiling. And soon we were silent. Our faces were getting much closer together, so close I could feel his warm breath on my cheeks. And soon the gap between us closed, our lips touching. 

His lips were soft against mine and although the kiss was short, it felt like it had lasted a very long time. 

We broke away slowly smiling. 

"I'll see you later," he said. I smile and get out the car and walk to the front door with a goofy smile on my face. I see my family sprawled over the couch, watching a movie. Everyone was asleep except Bobby, who's eyelids were looking very droopy. I went upstairs and changed to my pajamas. 

I heard a PING! from my phone seeing that Piper had texted me. 

Pipes: so how was the date?

Me: Great! And guess what! I even had my first kiss with him!

Pipes: u have to tell me everything!

Me: Now?

Pipes: tomorrow at school. 

Me: All right! I got to go. I'll see you tomorrow!

Pipes: Bye!

I put down my phone, still not forgetting about the kiss me and Luke had shared.
