It didn't help that 154's voice actually sounded a little similar to the System's, because they still couldn't believe that the System had something like that.

Of all the reasons... improper relationships?

There was no way that was a violation warning, right?

Sure, 922 had mentioned that invigilators weren't supposed to have relationships with examinees, but that was like, a rule in schools that prohibited teacher-student relationships to prevent grading biases or leniency, like "No sleeping with your teachers for bonus points" or something.

It was just there because it was just following rules from regular examinations, like being able to ask invigilators for the time or being able to go to the bathroom.

It should be stressful as you wait for the question to be played.

The examinees were all shooting wary glances at each other. The room was so quiet that they could hear a pin drop, and they were all worried that the invigilators would all try to strangle each other or something, from how tense they looked.

Even Qin Jiu's mouth was opening and closing like a goldfish, like he was trying to find another bastard line to spout, but in the end, couldn't figure out what to say.

Because sure, why not, even disregarding gender and age and what not, an invigilator and an examinee sharing a room was rather improper, whether it was for that purpose or not.

And sure, maybe the System was extremally bigoted and somehow very anti-LGBTQ and thought two men sharing a room was very, very, very inappropriate or something.

They would have all accepted that as an answer... if in all the past times where there was a case of having to share a room, tent, bed, whatever, the System had made such an announcement.

In the early days, there were only 24 invigilators. Their current ranks had around 50, almost double the number of invigilators, but if there was ever such an announcement, the news would have everywhere. The examinees would be gossiping, the invigilators would be gossiping, it would have spread like wildfire.

And never once has such an announcement ever been made. Sure, invigilators didn't like to share rooms with examinees, and vice versa, but sometimes, it just happened. Everyone just had to deal with it. The System's never kicked up such a huge fuss about it before.

But with the system's warning that came out of nowhere, all that tension just disappeared in an instant.

You Huo and Chu Yue were the only one who didn't look bothered in the slightest. In fact, she was desperately trying to hide her laughter. She wasn't surprised the System would fucking blurt out something like that; when Qin Jiu and You Huo last got together, the System probably felt something was off, and kicked Qin Jiu out of the System.

She had dragged him back in again, and now, the System probably had no reason to suspect them because every single interaction between them that it saw was just them... fighting. But did the System somehow decide that You Huo and Qin Jiu fighting was equal to You Huo and Qin Jiu being a bit too close?

Because if that was the case, it was actually fucking hilarious.

Meanwhile, You Huo was just sitting there impassively, like he really couldn't give a single shit about what nonsense the System was spouting.

All the examinees were stunned but no one dared to speak.

"... Big Invigilator..." Qin Jiu finally glanced at You Huo, "I think... I might have broken the System..."
