"What does it mean by large-scale joint exam?" You Huo asked.

No one answered.

"Is he really... alone?"

Qin Jiu, Chu Yue, and You Huo all stared at the viewing experience helplessly.

This... definitely wasn't the best start to taking an exam...

The fog behind him receded and his surroundings cleared up.

He was standing on an empty street. To the right was a lonely small house and to the left was an old basketball court.

You Huo narrowed his eyes.

If he wasn't mistaken, forming a team should, at the very least, guarantee that they had all entered the same examination center; being a team was rather useless if they were all stuck doing different examinations, after all.

Even if he was alone right now... his team mates should still be somewhere in the exam center; perhaps it was similar to the Sea Coachmen or Black Death examination, when they all required "external" transportation to the main area of the examination center, so they would all be arriving separately.

But arriving separately meant that they weren't technically on the same team anymore... not like his original pairing with Qin Jiu, and then with Zhou Qi.

So what, then, was the point of forming another team now? Just to get into the same exam center?

Wasn't that stretching the definition of a "team" way too thin!?

Fucking System!

The basketball hoop was old and rusty, the paint on the backboard was chipping off and it would let out low creaks as it swayed in the humid evening wind.

The blood-red sunset in the distance shone down, illuminating the street.

For a "large-scale" exam, the examination center was eerily quiet and empty... and the blood-red sunset was not helping to calm their nerves.

"Shouldn't there be a lot of people in this exam?" An examinee shuddered, "Why does it look so... empty?"

"Yeah... don't even talk about team members, there's hardly anyone here..."

154 couldn't help but shiver, chills running down his spine upon seeing such a desolate, deserted examination center, and Wen Yuan wrapped his arms around the younger man and pulled him in closer comfortingly.

You Huo looked around, "Qin Jiu?"

There was no answer.

Their hearts instantly sank like stones in water.

You Huo really was alone.

It was obvious to everyone, even those that weren't as familiar with You Huo's ice cold nature as the hardliners, that You Huo was a lonely person. His position and that bastard System made it impossible for anyone to get close to him, and only Qin Jiu was strong and stubborn enough to smack the System in the face with its own rules and give You Huo some reprieve.

You Huo and Qin Jiu did manage to get back together again, after several long, grueling years filled with memory loss and physical separation...

And now, the System had, once again, ripped Qin Jiu away, right out of You Huo's grasp.

Qin Jiu wasn't there, the Yu father and son duo wasn't there, Chu Yue wasn't there, and the other three ladies were also not around.
