Although it's random, it's not up to the two great masters.

Examinees from the same examination center would be sent to the same rest stop. With the others already gone, they were merely following after them.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

The invigilators had already told them about this prior, despite You Huo's shameless bid for "compensation" for the System's fuck up wasting their time and "inconveniencing" them by bringing them all the way to the Invigilator's District for no reason.

Well, it was probably precisely because they had just merely been inconvenienced, instead of actually being punished, that they were allowed to "follow after" the other examinees to the same Rest Stop.

Weren't the generic punishments for examinees like three days long?

Then, how long would the "Special Sector Punishment" take, regardless of how long You Huo and Qin Jiu took to complete them?

At that point, it would no longer be "following", and more like "maybe they were following, maybe they were not, who really knows at that point"... but they seriously doubted that being punished would change the Rest Stop that they had initially been assigned to anyways.

The heavens had never answered "Lucky" You Huo's wishes, and it was the same this time too.

"... So, you guys are keeping your bets?" 078 asked dryly, having heard his senior 021 and the two baby invigilators discussing it earlier.

He was kind of neutral over whichever Rest Stop the great masters would be brought to, since he was the one who'd have to escort them all the way to the Rest Stop... but between the demon kings getting their hands on explosives or fiddling with a theme park full of machinery...

078 liked the casino the most, which honestly wasn't saying much compared to all the other options, and he could only pray that You Huo and Qin Jiu didn't just decide to set the entire place on fire or something.

It wasn't the old and tattered rest stop Chu Yue managed; it was the complete opposite - an extremely prosperous city.

Those who had already been to the rest stop in question had already perked up in recognition.

"So... Casino?" Someone asked and several others, invigilators included, nodded.

It was the only one out of the remaining three options that could remotely resemble an "extremely prosperous city" in the first place.

Heck, even if they took the other two Rest Stops into consideration, only the Rest Stop with the departmental store came anywhere close to that descriptor, but even that Rest Stop seemed more like a generic city that had half its shophouses and buildings close down, and was rather dilapidated, instead of one described as "extremely prosperous".

"Oh! Congratulations, you managed to be assigned to one of the best rest stops." 078 rubbed his hands together as soon as he entered the rest stop.

"Really? One of the best?" 058 quirked an eyebrow, and 078 shrugged.

He didn't think he was wrong, considering that the place to "temporarily forget about the exams" was quite literally the opposite of what examinees should be doing, gaining access to a bunch of weaponry that normal examinees, being civilian, likely didn't know how to use would probably result in the examinees killing themselves before the exams could... and Chu Yue's was just a cold depressing wasteland.

"Not even the best." A hardliner snickered, "The best out of five would mean something. One of the best is... top three? Out of five? Which is average and mediocre."
