Chapter 9: Agnes's idol

That same evening, Agnès puts on her most beautiful white dress to accompany her mother to work. She took her cuddly toy while Will took toys for Agnès so she wouldn't be bored. Agnès has stars in her eyes seeing all the wrestlers who are already present backstage. Lini goes to her locker room to get ready while Will and Agnes go get something to snack on.

Agnes was next to Will when she turns around and sees her idol walking past the cafeteria doors. She smiled and decided to follow him without Will realizing it, she tried to catch up with him but he was going too fast for her little legs. Lini joins Will in the cafeteria, who is quietly having a coffee, but Lini's smile fades when she doesn't see Agnès next to him. "Will... Where's Agnès?" She said starting to panic. "Well, she's..." Will's voice trails off as he realizes Agnes isn't by his side. Lini's stress started to rise, they started looking everywhere, calling her, asking others if they had seen her but nothing.

Agnès continues to walk behind Taker, very happy to see him when Taker still didn't realize that a 5-year-old girl had been following him for a few minutes. He is already wearing his big black dress, his hood on his head, his bag on his shoulder, he is already ready to wrestle but still in his thoughts since yesterday. He opened the door to his locker room and found his manager Paul who was already inside. Agnès manages to discreetly enter the locker room, still smiling at having found her idol. She is seated behind her idol who was still standing talking to Paul. She looks at him, the stars in her eyes, he is so big that he could touch the ceiling.

Taker has put his bag on the sofa and Paul is staring at the little girl who is behind who has a big smile watching Taker. "Do you know if the rookie has arrived? I need to talk to her". Said to Paul but frowned when he didn't answer him, he realized that Paul was looking just behind his back, something puzzled him. Taker turns around and sees a little girl, seated, wearing a white dress, smiling at him. Taker doesn't understand how she got here. who is she? he wondered.

Agnes' smile slowly fades when she sees that Taker has no emotion on his face, not a smile, he just stares at her with his cold green eyes. He walks towards the little girl, squats down gently, Agnes takes her cuddly toy in her arms to reassure herself, still looking at her idol. He notices that her cuddly toy was a purple bear with "Undertaker" marked on the belly. A fan in the backstage? Taker thought.

"I won't hurt you, what's your name, girl?" Asked Taker calmly trying to be as reassuring as possible towards the little girl. "A...Agnes" she said shyly. Taker looks at her, the little girl is wearing little black shoes and white tights that go well with her little white dress, a little vest covers her little shoulders with a little white hat on her head. He gave her a little smile that totally reassured the little girl. "Glad to meet you Agnes."

Lini and Will continues to look for Agnès everywhere, the boiler room, the various locker rooms, the kitchens, the offices, but nothing. Security is told that if they find a little girl with a white dress, brown hair, blue eyes, they will contact Vince. Lini is stressed, imagine she went outside and someone hurt her. Will sees a small obese man walking, in a suit, a nice black mustache. He walks towards this man, calls out to him, the man stops and listens to what Will has to say to him.

"Sorry to bother you sir, did you see a little girl with black hair, beautiful blue eyes and a white dress?" He says to the man who looks friendly. "Oh, her name is Agnes, right? She's in the locker room down the hall from right to the right." Said Paul to the man who is worried. probably the dad. Paul thought.

Will thanks the man and goes to the place indicated, he is very furious that Agnès has left without saying anything to him, he does not bother to knock on the door, he enters the locker room, his face red with anger. "Damn! Agnes! What the..." Will stopped talking when he saw Agnes with a tall man, not unknown as he had seen him on TV with Agnes.

"Is that true? Woah..." Agnes says to Taker who is sitting with her on the couch drinking some orange juice Taker gave her. "Impressive?" Said Taker laughing after telling him some anecdotes of his life, Will frowns, went to introduce himself when Lini suddenly enters the locker room and reassured when she sees Taker with Agnès, she walks towards her daughter. "Good God, Agnes! Thank god you're here!" She said hugging her daughter who is still sitting on the couch next to Taker. So she's the Rookie's daughter? thought Taker.

"Never do that to me again! i was afraid to lose you!" She said looking at her with tears in her eyes and hugged her again. "She wasn't lost, rookie. She followed me." Taker explained. "But your mother is right, you shouldn't walk away from your mother." Said Taker to Agnes, Lini looks at Taker who seems to be at ease with the children even though he is a lousy man. "I apologize mom." Said Agnes to her mother looking down on the ground with a sad look. "It's gone my dear but don't do it again." She said to her daughter.

Will hasn't moved yet, he looks at Taker very meanly remembering everything Lini told him about him. This despicable, sexist, asshole, heartless man is Agnes' idol and he can't do anything but watch what's happening in front of him. Taker finally looks at the man in front of his locker room door, frowns at him.

"So you were the one who had to take care of her daughter?" Said Taker to the blond man who keeps looking at him with a mean look. Lini watches Taker get up from the sofa, he walks over to Will. "Taker..it's none of his.." Lini tried to defend Will but Taker waved at her to shut up. "You'll have to be more careful with that child if she doesn't end up kidnapped by a crank" Taker says in an intimidating tone to Will, Lini takes Agnes in her arms and goes next to Will.

"I can take care of this child very well, I don't need the advice of a man who knows nothing about parenting." Will told Taker, not intimidated by this six foot tall man. Lini takes Will's arm to force him to leave but he doesn't want to, refusing to let him win. "Oh, you know my life better than I do?" Said Taker approaching him smiling nervously, his fists clenched wanting to stick one to him. "Okay Will, leave Taker alone." Said Lini to Will who is leaving. "I'm sorry Taker for that," Lini said before walking away with Agnes, leaving Taker in the locker room. Agnes looks at Taker, smiling and waving at him. "Byeeee Undy" She said innocently still very happy to see him in real life than on TV.

Sergeant Rodriguez arrives near Lake Houston, photographers and reporters are already there filming as the van is pulled out of the water. He walks towards his colleagues who greet him and then walk towards the van. "It was this couple who wanted to go for a swim and discovered the van in the water." Said one of the officers looking at the couple while Rodriguez looks at his notes and sees that this lake has been searched many times. "I think someone put it there not long ago." He said writing on his notepad, he goes around the van writing. "No rust, nothing to prove to me that the van was here for two years either." He adds, he pulls out a pair of gloves before opening the van door, peering inside. Nothing, no shoe marks, nothing out of the ordinary like someone cleaned it up inside before throwing it in the lake, Rodriguez thought.

He looks in the glove box and sees wet documents, he puts it in a evidence bag then gives it to his colleague and goes to the back to open the trunk but nothing. "I want the van checked for fingerprints or smudges." He told his colleague as he took off his gloves.
