Chapter 57: Why would he?

Lini woke up before Mark, already showered and dressed, ready to go to the police station to see Will. She preferred not to be accompanied, wanting to see him alone, she knows what Mark is thinking and he wouldn't miss an opportunity to hit Will even if for the moment they have no concrete proof that he killed Josh and Mark's family.

She takes her bag and her keys, heading for the front door. "Are you leaving without telling me?" Mark's voice comes from the top of the stairs, she watches Mark descend, dressed in a half open silk shirt and a pair of sweatpants. "Mark..." She tried to talk to him but Mark waved his hand to shut up. He cups her sweet face in his hands looking into her beautiful brown eyes. "I can't stop you from going to see him, he's your friend, but don't be stupid." He said before kissing her tenderly. To him, she shouldn't go see him because he's now a suspect in the case but he knows she would go against him. "See you Mark" She said before kissing him one last time and going outside to go to her car.

Lini arrived at the police station, she was greeted by two officers who asked her to wait for Sergeant Rodriguez to arrive to go see Will. As soon as Rodriguez arrived, he shakes Lini's hand before going to see where Will is, she could see him through the window but he must certainly not see her. She feels sick to see her friend, handcuffed to the table, tired, he runs his hands through his hair, anxious. "I'll be here taking notes, don't say anything we listen to or he won't open up to you." He said to Lini before she left to see him, she nodded, took a deep breath and entered.

Will looks up at the door that just opened and heaves a sigh of relief when he sees Lini, he wants to get up and hug her but the handcuffs won't allow him to lift his arms. Without saying a word, Lini hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck, silent tears streaming down her cheeks. "I'm glad to see you.." He said almost crying, she wipes her tears from her cheeks and sits down in front of him, she puts her bag next to her then puts her hands on the table. "Lini, please believe me...I...I have nothing to do with this..." he said looking into her eyes, he placed his hands on her hands. "I know and I think you are not...I want...I just want to know if it's true what the witnesses are saying..." She said looking at him with eyes full of tears, he takes her hands in his and kisses her palm. "I..it's true that I paid people to hit me but..I had to.." he confessed, he looks at his hands, takes a deep breath before continuing.

"I had my van stolen without a scratch, I told myself that no one would believe me if I returned to the garage without being beaten..so I paid two strangers to hit me.." he while looking at his hands then looks into Lini's eyes. "Would you describe who stole the van?" she asked, wanting to know who stole the van. "Unfortunately, I didn't see who stole the van..I.." He stopped, feeling shame rising, remembering that afternoon. "I..I was sick and I couldn't find a toilet so I pooped against a tree hidden by bushes in the park next to the car wash" he said with shame, hiding his eyes letting out a sigh.

Lini takes his hands with a sad smile, understanding the situation. "Why didn't you tell the officers everything? Now they think you're guilty of Josh's murder." She said looking at Will's blue eyes which are full of shame and tears. He sniffles, looking at their hands. "It's a shame, I know they wouldn't believe me..and I didn't kill Josh.." He said looking into her eyes, trying to be as sincere as possible.

"Apparently you were there a few minutes before Josh was murdered...you had a fight." She said of what she heard, Will smiled sadly then squeezed her hands tight. "Yeah...I was there..we had an argument in front of the store.." He admitted lowering his head then looked back at her eyes. "We were arguing because he didn't bother to answer me when I had the van stolen.. he was telling me that he had too much work to take care of a theft.. he was on a murder case..I said that I could lose my job, that he absolutely had to find the van and the thieves..." He said crying, Lini biting her lips trying not to cry , he brings their hands close to him.

"Believe me Lini, I would never ever hurt Josh..I have nothing to do with it.." He says crying collapses on the table, Lini looks at him with tears in her eyes. She wants to believe her friend, she believes him sincere, why would he kill Josh for a simple argument?

Mark is packing for the 3 days European tour, Raw will be live in London. The girls are so excited to go to Europe with their parents that they have already packed their bags for the plane tonight. Mark is worried that Lini hasn't come home yet, he hasn't moved from the kitchen window staring at the closed gate hoping for it to open. He's already showered and dressed in a simple black t-shirt and pants, a gray bandana across his forehead. The kids are watching the cartoons while eating their breakfasts. He decided to go in front of the house when he finally saw the gate open and Lini's red car parked. She got out of her car, walked towards the door, Mark opened it for her then plunged into her arms wanting comfort, no discussion, just comfort. Tears streaming down her cheeks knowing she made a choice that Mark is going to freak out.
