Given was goofing around with the kids after their morning classes when her tita Analie suddenly called her and told her that Tristan was waiting for her outside.

Confusion immediately filled Given's system. Tristan knew about this town but she didn't tell her about the location of this Adoption Center since she didn't want him to come here today. Besides, they also didn't have a proper conversation last night because her boyfriend was in rage about her sudden disappearance from the city.

So why is Tristan waiting for her outside? How did he manage to find this place?

"Ate Given! Let's play again!" Psyche suddenly called for Given's attention while she was talking with her tita Analie.

"I'll be back later, love! I just need to talk with someone!" Given gave Psyche a sweet smile before looking at her tita Analie once more.

"Do you want to face him or should I send him away? He can't make a scene in here because there are a lot of kids. It'll be traumatizing for them," Analie's voice was filled with worry and Given knew that.

But thinking about how Tristan is, she knows that it's not gonna be easy to drive him out so even if she wanted to avoid him, Given just gave her tita Analie a small nod before taking her leave. Kakausapin niya ang boyfriend niya.

"You finally showed yourself to me!" Tristan sarcastically greeted Given the moment she went out of the gate. Both of his hands were on his waist. He looked impatient and the scorching heat from the sun wasn't helping at all.

"I told you I would be staying here. Why did you still come?" Given gently asked because she didn't want to start an argument with her boyfriend.

First, there are kids inside. Second, it's just stressful to fight over everything every single day. It's tiring her out especially because she is facing the issues of her family right now.

It's really not a good time for Tristan to take control over her again.

"Because I never agreed to that decision? I mean, look at this place, Given."

Tristan looked around the area as if he was disgusted. There were no huge and tall buildings around. The streets weren't busy like it is in the city. There aren't any malls in sight. The only thing that could be seen around are a bunch of trees and small plants. Everything is green here, actually.

"You aren't used to a place like this. You don't belong here, Given. You won't last long here and that's why I am picking you up," Tristan finally looked at his girlfriend after briefly judging the place.

Given rolled her eyes and let out a frustrated sigh. She's losing patience with Tristan. One more negative word from him will make her break up with him already.

"I am not going with you, Trist. I probably don't belong here like you said but this place is even better than back home. There is solace here than when I am in the city. This is me trying to breathe, desperately wanting to have a new environment. Why can't you just support me with that?" Given put an emphasis on certain words that came out of her mouth, hoping that Tristan would understand.

But Tristan just let out a humorless laugh before stepping forward towards his girlfriend. He leaned closer and whispered on her right ear.

"Your problem isn't that huge, love. Stop being too dramatic over it. Go inside, pack your things, and then we'll leave together. Hmm?"

Tristan stood straight once more, gave Given a forced smile, and tapped her shoulder thrice. It was a non-verbal way of saying that she should just give in to his plans and decisions.

"Go. Now." Tristan urged Given by pointing a finger inside. He wanted Given to move and pack her things already.

Given, on the other hand, kept glaring at her insensitive boyfriend. She tried her best to explain the situation to him in a gentle way, in a way that he would understand, but he is just too stubborn. He just won't listen to anyone else but himself. Sarili niya lang ang mahalaga. Kahit si Given ay balewala lang sa kaniya.
