"Given!" Comet called the moment he saw the girl that he likes, sitting on a bench in an empty park, dark at night.

Given then raised her head the moment she heard the familiar voice she's been wanting to hear since she finished talking with Tristan.

"Comet!" Given bawled again and rushed towards Comet to be around his arms.

Her heart hurts too much and she's hoping that in Comet's hugs, she'll feel a lot better.

"Hey." Comet's voice was gentle, as if he was afraid Given would break if he speaks out loudly.

But Given only tightened the hug, refusing to say anything. Gusto niya lang ng yakap ngayon at gusto niya lang iiyak ang lahat.

Hindi naman siya pisikal na sinaktan ni Tristan. Wala rin itong sinabi tungkol sa pakikipagbalikan sa kaniya. In fact, they had their closure today. Tristan admitted that he has been an asshole during the last two years of their relationship and that he was aware of it.

He was aware of how Given cried and hurt a lot because of him. He was aware that he had changed in to becoming the most awful boyfriend Given could ever have. And he knew that he doesn't deserve Given's love and appreciation through the years. He said he doesn't deserve Given's patience with him and his antics. He even apologized for the way he acted back when he tried to pick Given up from the Center.

He apologized for everything and told Given that they've been both broken to fix each other. That they should really end it at five years.

"Did he ask about me and about how we've always been together lately?" Comet asked while Given was still engulfed in his embrace, still telling the story of her conversation with Tristan tonight.

"He didn't. He opened it up, though. He said he knew that we were always together and that he realized how asshole he has been to me. When he heard and saw for himself how you treated me since I came to the Center, he remembered that it was the way he treated me in the beginning. It wasn't, by the way. He was an asshole even back then but yeah, he had regrets and realizations and that led him to the conclusion that maybe I had those thoughts, too. So he wanted to totally cut it off with me already."

"Hmm," Comet nodded and tapped Given's shoulder. "You faced it bravely even when I knew it hurt. You did well, Given. You are amazing."

Hearing Comet mumbling those words made Given tear up once more. She needed that validation and without her asking for it, Comet said it so himself. It was a good choice that she called him over not for the purpose of self validation but because she knows how good of a person Comet is.

"Thank you, Comet," Given whispered. She's grateful.

Comet hummed and tightened the hug. "Let's get ice cream?"

Chuckles and giggles came out of their lips as they stood in the middle of the park, hugging each other like little koalas.

"You're annoying."

"I am."

"Let's get ice cream."

"Okay."
