"This one's so beautiful! Look! Ang ganda ng photo ko here o. Come here, Comet. Take a look!"

Comet chuckled at the excited expressions of Given as she scrolls through her phone, looking at the photos she's taken of the sunrise. He even blushed with the way her little fingers signalled for him to come closer to her so he could take a peek at those photos.

"Okay, let me see," Comet said and moved closer towards Given.

The photo Given showed her was still of the sunrise and honestly, everything looked the same from the ones she showed him earlier but because Given said it's the most beautiful one she's taken, Comet still acted like he was in awe of it.

"It's beautiful. You did well in taking that photo," said he while sporting a nice genuine smile on his face.

Given's eyes widened as she smiled again. "Right? It's my favorite one among all the shots!"

"I'm happy to see you smiling like this, Given," Comet mumbled and caressed Given's hair.

"Hmm. You're the cause of all this happiness. I hope you know that," Given responded while directly looking at Comet's eyes.

"Uh-huh? Not the sunrise and the photos you've taken of it?"

"It is part but overall, you made me smile like this. It was stuffy back in the hospital. I couldn't smile there."

Comet fixed Given's hair and his seat as well. "Then why do you like sunrises so much?"

Given sighed and put down her phone. "Because it's a sign that there are still new beginnings in life no matter how dark the road has become. Whenever I see the sun rising, it makes me feel nice because when I'm starting to lose hope, I am reminded that another day is to start again and it's another chance to keep going because things will be better, somehow."

"But you know," Given positioned herself to lean on the car door as she faced Comet. "But now you're like that sunrise for me. You keep giving me hope and making me feel that the struggles I am facing isn't really the end of everything yet."

Hearing that, Comet bit his lower lip in an attempt to stop himself from smiling but in the end, he just let it go and smiled wide again. Naramdaman niya pa ang pag-iinit ng tenga niya at sigurado na siyang namumula na ang buong mukha niya ngayon. He's blushing because of Given.

"Are you... blushing right now?" Given carefully asked, trying to peek at Comet's face.

"I am. Ikaw may dahilan nito."

"Why would you blush because of me?"

"Why do you think?"

"Huh? Do you like me?"

From avoiding Given's eyes, Comet immediately looked up at the girl he likes that's sitting in front of him right now. Dahan-dahan siyang tumango making the latter's eyes widen.

"Huh?" Given asked as if she couldn't believe it. "You really like me nga? You're not joking?"

"Why would I joke about something like this?"

"I mean!"

"What?"

"I like you, Given. It's always been like that. I mean, if it still wasn't obvious with everything I did for you, then..."

This time, Given avoided Comet's eyes because she also felt herself blushing. Pinili na lang nitong tumingin sa labas para hindi na humaba ang usapan nila.

"Are you blushing now?" Comet asked and laughed. He's more confident now than earlier.

"Drive back to the hospital now. I'm getting annoyed," Given mumbled still without looking at Comet.

"Really? Aren't you blushing? Your face seems redder than usual."

"Stop it!"

Comet laughed. He's now sure that his confession did something on Given and it was enough to make him happy. Somehow, it was like a confirmation that he's not hopeless on her.

"Okay, let's drive back," he just said and started the car to go back to the hospital already.
