FATE | Kakashi x OC x Obito

Chapter 7

*Kakashi's POV*

Minato sensei (Hokage) and our team was given a special mission. To infiltrate Orochimaru's new hideout and gather information about his new experiments.

It was easy to locate Orochimaru's hideout, as we were already given some information about it from Lord Danzo. Some of the anbu members from the Foundation were given the same task as ours.

When we got inside the hideout, there were a lot of pathways that lead to different locations. We have decided to go our separate ways and come back in the same location after an hour.

After walking for about half an hour, I heard a very loud noise. Somebody was screaming in pain. I silently ran towards the noise when I saw a very familiar figure came out of a door. There is no doubt about it, it is Megumi. The one screaming was her. She is pushing herself to the limit again.

When we locked our gaze at each other for the first time, I did not know what to feel. If I should be happy to see her, or be worried of how much blood was coming out of her nose.

It did not end there.

Her body was not able to take it and she coughed up more blood. I knew that she was going to collapse soon and caught her in my arms before she did.

I carried her in my arms and walked towards my team's meetup point.

I have laid down Megumi's body on the ground while keeping her head on my arms as I wait for my team to arrive.

I cannot believe that Megumi is here. I wiped some of the blood on her face and cupped her cheek on my hand.

Her face did not change that much but she lost a lot of weight... It is probably stressful to be a part of the Foundation.

"I missed you very much." I whispered to her and planted a kiss on her forehead. I hugged her tightly and stayed in that position a bit longer. When I looked up, everyone in my team has arrived. Minato sensei, Obito, and Rin.

"Kakashi.. What happened? Is she alright?" Minato sensei asked with worry in his eyes.

"She had a clash with Orochimaru. She pushed herself to the limit." I told Minato sensei while looking at Megumi's face.

"Rin, try everything you can to help her recover fast. We are are going back to Konoha now. I got all the scrolls, thanks to Megumi." Minato sensei said while showing the scrolls that he acquired.

I have put Megumi's entire body into the ground and Rin immediately did medical jutsu on her.

"She does not have a lot of injuries but her body is very exhausted. There is no choice but to let her rest for a while." Rin said while looking at Minato sensei.

"Is she your first love, Kakashi? She is really pretty. I remember her from the academy days." Obito asked out of nowhere, his arms crossed as he gazed at me.

Before I can answer his question, Minato sensei started to speak "I will be carrying Megumi on the way back. Kakashi, please help me carry the scrolls. There is no time to waste. Let's go."

*a few hours later*

*Megumi's POV*

I slowly regained consciousness and slowly opened my eyes. The sun was shining so bright which caused my eyes to hurt.

"You should probably continue to rest." A familiar voice said. It was the man carrying me behind his back.

"Minato s-sensei?" I said weakly.

"Mm-hmm" I could imagine minato sensei as he hummed. I shifted my gaze to my left and saw a white haired boy.

"K-Kashi" I tried my best to call his name as loud as I could. He looked at me but he seemed a bit pissed off.

"Please continue to rest. We can catch up later." Kakashi said as my sight started to blur again.

My eyes are too exhausted. I have no choice but to go back to sleep.

*2 days later*

*Kakashi's POV*

Megumi has been discharged at the hospital this morning. I could not visit her in the past few days because of some missions given by Minato sensei.

I brought her favorite white tulips and some sweets. On my way to the twins' flat, Rin and Obito saw me. I stopped and said hi to them.

"Kakashi. Let me guess, you are going to visit that anbu girl hmm?" Obito crossed his arms and grinned at me.

Rin looked at the tulips and sweets that I am holding and immediately looked away when she saw me looking at her.

"Yes, I'm visiting her today. If you want you can come along and I can introduce both of you to her." I smiled using my eyes.

"There is no need for that, we have other things to do." Rin said while pulling Obito's arm to the opposite direction.

"Wait, Rin!! Wait! Waa—-" Obito screamed while Rin continued pulling him away as fast as she could. I wondered what are these two up to.

When I reached the twins' flat, The door was slightly open. I knocked on the door and heard Mistuki said

"Come in, Kakashi!"

*Mitsuki's POV*

Kakashi went in and I immediately saw what he was holding. Hmm, Kakashi being a romantic. Of course I will not let him be romantically involved to my sister. Not when she is just 10!

"You can just put the flowers and sweets in the kitchen. I'll prepare those for Megumi later. She is still in her room, changing." I told Kakashi. He obediently followed and sat in the couch in the living room.

A few minutes later, my sister came out of her room. She is wearing the new pink pajamas and pink sweater that I got her for our birthday. Her long hair is tied in a high bun, and her eyes are still covered in bandages. She have almost lost her sight for using her ice release too much. Our clan's kekkei genkai is very powerful but it can also destroy its user. My sister has the strongest ice release in the family. I only have 25% of the power that she has.

She slowly made her way to the living room, trying to find something to hold on to. When Kakashi saw her a bit struggling, he quickly stood up and held her hands.

"Where do you want to go?" Kakashi asked my sister while looking at her covered eyes.

There is something different with how Kakashi looks at my sister. I know that he loved her before, but could he have fallen deeply inlove with her now?

"Is that you, Kakashi? I'd like to sit on the couch. Thank you." Megumi told Kakashi.

When Megumi reached the couch, Kakashi sat down together with her, still holding her hands.

"I think she have reached her destination. You can let go of her hands, perv." I told Kakashi. I am getting a bit pissed off of what I see here. How can Kakashi make a move on my sister without asking me first?

I took Kakashi's hands off my sister's, and put my sister's hands on her lap.

"What are you doing, Mitsuki? Kakashi was just helping me!" Megumi said in protest. Anbu changed my sister a lot. She is more vocal now and wouldn't listen to me at times...

"It's alright. Mitsuki did not do anything wrong." Kakashi said while smiling at me. Ughh, I wonder if it's a fake or real one? How can I tell with his mask on??

"Let's all eat our dinner. Megu, I'll help you eat. Kakashi, keep your hands off my sister. Thanks." I told Kakashi while giving him a death stare. If he really loves my sister, he should go through me first.

Kakashi smiled and was just looking at Megumi and helping her take some food and drinks from the table most of the time. I have to admit that this is really sweet and I have missed them both so much. Time's just changed and I have become a third wheel now. What a pain.

We spent the rest of the night catching up with all that has happened in the past 3 years, especially the funny and weird adventures that we have experienced during our missions.

I have never seen Megumi smile like this before. Is she falling for Kakashi? I cannot tell. But as long as my sister is happy, then I am happy.
