Kakashi and Megumi quickly changed into their anbu uniforms and went straight to the Hokage's residence. When they arrived, they immediately bowed and kneeled on one knee, together with the other two anbus.

"We heard about the miracle and we are happy that you are back, Megumi." The Hokage said and added, "The doctor said that you are able to go back to work after a week."

Megumi remained silent.

"Kakashi, Megumi, Itachi, and Yamato, you are all here as this will be your new team for the next mission. Your team captain will be Kakashi. I expect each one of you to cooperate. Understood?"

"YES!" All 4 of them said in unison.

"The mission will be discussed by next week, when Megumi has fully recovered. Please be on standby. You may all leave." The Hokage said and the four disappeared in front of him and the council.

"Kakashi..." Megumi continued to stare at the sunset as she called his name and continued, "Do you think Lord Danzo is behind this?"

Kakashi sighed and said in a low voice, "I'll be honest with you and I think yes. But you are already healed. I'll be forever thankful for the person who made you feel better."

Megumi giggled and said "What if it's Lord Danzo? You are not very fond of him, are you?" She looked at him smiling and added, "I wonder what's going to be our next mission..."

"Let's not think about it. Let's go home, you still need plenty of rest." Kakashi said with a smile in his eyes.

*Megumi's POV*

"Megumi... Can I talk to you for a minute?" Kakashi said in a casual tone.

I immediately closed my book and turned my body to look at him.

"Listen... I've been thinking... What if we start living together?" He said in a serious manner and added, "I want to be better for you and I want to make up with my mistakes from last time. But of course, it's only if you want to. No pressure, Megu."

I looked down at my hands and sighed.

"Kakashi, being a burden is the least that I want to happen. If you want to live with me just because you want to protect me—" He cut me halfway and started to speak again. I looked at his eyes this time.

"That's not what I meant... I want to live with you because I love you. I want to see your face everytime I arrive from my missions. I want to cook for you when I'm home... I just want to be with you." He looked at my eyes and then down to my lips.

"What did you dream about last night?" I asked, as I kiss her cheek again.

She cut our hug and turned around to look at me with a confused stare and asked, "What do you mean?"

"You don't remember?" I asked with my brows furrowed.

"Not really. Why? Did something happened?" She asked with worry.

"Nothing to worry about. I shouldn't have brought it up. I'm sorry." I hugged her, kissed her forehead, and added, "Why don't you move in with me tonight? I'll help you with your stuff." I asked and smiled with my eyes.

She nodded and smiled.
