Chapter 11

*Time skip to 6 years*

*Mitsuki's POV*

It has been 6 years since the last time that I have seen my twin sister. Nobody knows why she did not return to Konoha. Lord Danzo said that she is alive and busy with missions but knowing my sister, she will always come back home even just for a few days. We tried every single thing to find her, but she just wouldn't show herself.

A lot of things happened in 6 years. There was an attack of the nine-tailed demon in the village which took the lives of Minato sensei and his wife, Kushina. A lot of people also died during the attack. Kakashi have lost two of his teammates, Obito and Rin... And because of that, he has been a part of the anbu for 3 years now and today is the first time that I'll see him after those 3 years.

I have finished preparing the last dish in the kitchen when I heard a knock on the door. It was Kakashi. I immediately asked him to sit in the dining area together with me.

"You look great, Kakashi! How have you been?" I greeted him with a smile.

Kakashi changed a lot. He grew taller, he is more muscular now, and he is wearing his headband slanted, keeping his left eye out of view. I heard that Obito have given him a Sharingan.

He experienced a lot of pain in the past few years losing his friends and his sensei but he still gets to smile, as if nothing happened.

"I'm fine." Kakashi gave me a smile through his eyes and added, "Are there any news about Megumi?" His face turned serious after asking me this.

"Unfortunately, no. We are still trying our best to locate her. Lord Danzo would not say a single thing... But we know for a fact that she is well and doing missions under the Foundation." I told Kakashi and there was a moment of silence.

We only managed to catch up shortly as he was summoned for another mission.

"Thank you for the nice meal, Mitsuki. It was nice seeing you. I'll let you know if I'll be able to get some information about Megumi." Kakashi told me before leaving.

*2 days later*

*Kakashi's POV*

I was given a new mission with Tenzo. It is only the two of us because we were told that an anbu member is already at the target location. Our mission is to kill the fake daimyo of Sunugakure.

I was looking straight as we skipped on the trees under the morning sun, and saw an anbu in front of us. It was a girl with black hair in a bun. She looks injured as her right arm is in a cast. I moved faster to catch up with her and when I was getting closer, she accidentally stepped on a weak tree branch, causing her to fall. Her hair tie snapped, allowing her long jet black hair to move freely. I immediately caught her in my arms. I carried her bridal style.

"K-Kashi?" She uttered my name.

I remember this voice. The hair. The smell. I couldn't be wrong.

I took off her fox anbu mask and saw dark blue eyes staring at me.

Megumi.

Her face is as small as my palm and her body became very slender. Her chest also grew bigger, I can feel one of them against my chest.

"We have been looking everywhere for you. What happened?" I ask her but she looked away.

"I was in a lot of missions, Kakashi.. There was no time for me to return back home." She said in a cold tone.

"That's bullshit. Do you really expect me to believe that lie?" I looked at her with anger in my eyes and added, "You have been overusing your powers again, don't you? How did you break your arm this time?"

Megumi remained silent, her lips slightly parted, and continued to look at me. There was sadness in her eyes now. I feel bad for scolding her on the day that I finally found her.

"Captain, we are reaching soon." Tenzo spoke behind us.

"I can walk. Thanks for catching me." Megumi said. I put her down and noticed the gap in between our heights. The top of her head is only upto my chin now. She put back on her fox anbu mask and said:

"I will finish the fake daimyo. I only need both of you to cover me." She said and we quickly started the mission.

It was not hard to find the fake daimyo. However, he had a lot of shinobis surrounding him.

"I could see 20 people guarding him. We'll be taking 10 each, Tenzo, while Megumi goes straight to the fake daimyo." I told Tenzo as Megumi listened close.

"Got it, captain." Tenzo said when Megumi looked at me with her icy blue eyes and said:

"Let's go."

*Megumi's POV*

I knew that Kakashi will be in this mission. Lord Danzo have informed me beforehand. I almost forgot how it felt to be close to Kakashi. It felt good but sad at the same time. Kakashi is a good person, and I am a monster.

I put all my emotions and feelings aside, and tried to focus on the mission. Because of my broken arm, I will not be able to do any hand signs and will be relying heavily on my eyes. I have to make sure that everything goes quickly before I lose all my chakra. I don't want to be a burden to anyone.

Everything's going according to plan. Tenzo and Kakashi are now fighting the 20 shinobis and the daimyo is left alone in his seat. I sneaked behind him and quickly slashed his neck with my kunai.

Fuck. A clone.

I felt something behind my back. It was him. He almost stabbed me with the sword that he was holding but I was able to stop it with my hand.

I collected almost all of my chakras in my eyes and made small icy needles, targeting the fake daimyo and 20 other shinobis that are fighting Kakashi and Tenzo.

"DON'T DO IT, MEGUMI!" I heard Kakashi shout from behind.

No. I have to finish this quickly.

When the icy needles are sharp and long enough, I allowed them to pierce through our enemies' bodies.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAH" I screamed as the needles went deeper into their bodies. Blood splatting everywhere.

I did it.

I felt a stabbing pain in my eyes and head, making me feel weak and go down on my knees. I held my face in my hand and felt that my nose is bleeding. The pain is the same as before. I am almost used to it.

I used most of my strength left to stand. I was wobbling when I felt Kakashi stood behind me.

*Kakashi's POV*

What happened to her?

It was all I could think about. When did she learn how to kill like this? I saw her wobble when she tried to stand, and I quickly went over. Ready to catch her if she falls.

"Kakashi, do you remember the day we first met at Ichiraku?" She turned her head towards me. She is smiling but her nose is bleeding and there were tears in her tired blue eyes. She smiled more when she caught my eye, making the tears fall down her cheeks.

Before I could say anything, she was already in my arms, peacefully asleep.
