Chapter 24

*2 days later*

*Kakashi's POV*

I finished my mission earlier, so I have decided to buy some dangos for Megumi and went back home.

When I opened the door, I immediately saw her at the desk, reading a book. She looked very engaged in reading. I kissed the top of her head and quickly went for a shower. I did not want to disturb her any further.

When I got out of the shower, she was still reading. I went closer to check on her. Her brows furrowed and her lips are slightly parted as she read the book. I kneeled beside her and asked,

"What are you reading?" I smiled with my eyes.

She sighed and looked at me.

"I'm trying to research for the next mission. Looks like attracting men will be a challenge for me..." she said and looked down.

"Megu... You don't really have to try that hard. I had a crush on you the first time we met at Ichiraku. You were very cold during that time though... What I'm trying to say is, you're very beautiful and I'm sure all men will be head over heels for you if I'm not around." I winked at her and she's blushing this time.

"You think so, Kakashi?" She looked at me with worried eyes. Her face now closer to mine.

I felt my cheeks turn hot and said "Mmm-hmm."

"If that's the case... Then I'll stop reading these stupid books. I'll go out for a while to shop for some dresses. Do you want to tag along?" She asked and smiled.

"I'd love to, but I promised to hang out with Guy today. Seemed like he prepared some sort of competition for the two of us again..." I scratched the back of my head and smiled with my eyes.

"Ohh wow! Best of luck!" She playfully pecked my nose.

I was surprised with the gesture and felt myself blushing.

*Megumi's POV*

It's my first time to shop for clothes by myself. It makes me think of Mitsuki. I miss my twin very much... I wish he was here to help me.

I went to the shop and the saleslady quickly walked towards me.

"Hi Madam! Is there anything that you are looking for?" She asked gleefully.

"Uhm... I'm actually not sure. Do you have a dress that I can wear to attract men?" I asked as I let my eyes roam around the shop.

"Oh, we have plenty! Would you like to see them?"

"Yes please." I said and smiled.

I have tried on 10 dresses and it made me very exhausted. I have decided to get a long black dress. It has a high slit that can see my left leg, long sleeves to hide my anbu mark, and a low cut front and back to show more skin. I partnered it with a high-heeled sandals.

When I went out of the fitting room, the saleslady's chin dropped.

"Madam... You look like perfection. Do you mind if we take a photo of you for the shop?? You can keep the dress and shoes for free in return!" She said and smiled.

"Uhm, no thanks. I'm sorry... I'll be glad to pay for the dress and shoes instead. Thank you for your help." I said with an awkward smile.

When I went out of the shop, I saw Shisui.

"Hi Shisui, not training today?" I smiled an asked.

"Megumi senpai! Unfortunately, no. I'm on my way to the Hokage's office." He said and smiled back.

Hokage's office... Mitsuki must be working there now.

"I see. See you around then!" I waved goodbye to him.

I continued to walk back home and I felt the ground gradually grumble. When I turned around, I saw Kakashi and Guy, running their hearts out. Kakashi caught my gaze. I smiled and waved at him. It seemed to have given him a boost as he ran even faster and it took a while for Guy to catch up.

I have finished packing my things for our mission in Tanzaku Quarters when I heard the door open.

Kakashi's home.

He looked very exhausted and he immediately sat on the desk chair with his head looking up the ceiling.

"I'm home... I won the race against Guy. Yes!" He said wearily as he continued to look up.

I walked towards him, sat on his lap, put my arms around him and placed my forehead against his.

"Congratulations to you." I smiled and kissed his lips gently. I felt his member grow hard.

"Megu... I..." Kakashi had some sweat dripping on his face.

"Kakashi, I just wanted to congratulate you. We need to rest early today for tomorrow's mission. Remember?" I smiled with my eyes.

He nodded and we continued to talk. I have told him about what happened at the shop. He giggled and said,

"See? Now, do you believe that you are beautiful? But you are mine." He squeezed my ass hard and added, "and I love you very much." He kissed me for the last time and we got ready for bed.

*Writer's POV*

The travel from Konoha to Tanzaku Quarters only took them 5 hours. Kakashi and Megumi went straight to the inn and she immediately changed to her black dress and high-heeled sandals.

When Megumi went out of the bathroom, Kakashi looked at her like never before. His eyes grew wider and his face turned red all over. Megumi looked at him surprised,

"Kakashi? Are you okay? Are you sick?" Megumi asked with worry in her eyes.

Kakashi looked at her face for a while and spoke, "Y-you look so beautiful, Megumi." He blused even more.

"Isn't it too much? I want this mission to go smoothly..." She said as she fixed her hair in a high bun in front of a mirror.

Kakashi continued to look at Megumi and forgot to respond to her question. After a few minutes, he shook his head, stood up, and walked towards Megumi.

He hugged her from behind, kissed her neck, and looked at her through the mirror in front of them.

"Megu... Please be careful." He said softly.

Megumi caught his gaze and said "You don't have to worry... I will be fine. It will all be over soon." she smiled sadly and looked down.

"It's almost dusk. Let's have our last meeting before heading out." Kakashi said and Megumi nodded.
