*1 week later*

*Writer's POV*

When Megumi opened her eyes, it felt like she just opened them for the first time in her life. She looked around the white room and found tulips on her left, on the bedside table. She felt the needles through her skin on her right and when she looked up, she saw stars from her window.

She looked at the stars for a while and she heard somebody come in. It was Kakashi. When he met her gaze, he ran into her side, held her left hand and kissed it. She blushed and looked away.

"How are you feeling?" Kakashi asked with worry in his eyes.

"I'm fine. What am I doing here?" Megumi looked at Kakashi with confusion.

"What do you mean? Don't you remember?" Kakashi took the chair, still looking at her eyes, holding her hand, and sat down. He waited for her to answer.

"I don't know what you're saying. You're scaring me, Kakashi... Did something happened?" She looked at her, her brows furrowed.

"Nothing happened. I think you should rest." He said with a smile.

"Okay then, if you don't want to tell me. I actually just woke up." Megumi said and giggled.

Kakashi finds it very suspicious that she does not remember anything. She was tortured to death. How can she forget? What did they do to her?

*A month later*

"Sis, I'm going!" Mitsuki said as he picked up the rest of his things at the living room. Megumi went out of her bedroom in her pajamas, hugged her brother and said,

"I'm going to miss you, Mitsuki. I hope you can make it back on our birthday."

"I highly doubt that. Work requires too much of my time nowadays. I don't even have that much time for Reina.." Mitsuki said with a frown.

"Ohh, so you are still with her! I though you broke up a long time ago." Megumi said with a grin.

"Well, we were in an on and off relationship. She always kept coming back. Our genes is just so hard to resist." He winked and added,

"By the way, I have asked Kakashi to keep an eye on you. You have been having a lot of nightmares lately. You're lucky that I'm just next door to wake you up." Mitsuki said, opening the door and ready to leave.

"But Kakashi is always on a mission. I don't wanna be a burden... You didn't have to do that!" Megumi said in protest.

"It is a part of Kakashi's mission." Mitsuki said as he looked at the confused Megumi. He kissed his sister's forehead and said their goodbyes.

*4 months later*

*Megumi's POV*

I woke up in the middle of the night with sweat dripping down my face. I had another nightmare. I cannot remember the dream but I remember getting really scared in it. I was screaming and it was just hard for me to breathe.

I took my black hoodie from the closet and went out for a while. The distance between my apartment to Minato sensei's grave was a 20-30 minute walk. It was quite cold so I put my hands in my hoodie's front pocket.

When I reached the grave, I sat down and talked to Minato sensei for a while. I felt my eyes become heavy... I hugged my knees to my chest, put my head on my knees and slept.

*Kakashi's POV*

Today is Megumi and Mitsuki's birthday. Mitsuki is still away, so I have decided to make this day special for Megumi. I took some time off and decided to start my surprise for Megumi with breakfast. I bought all the ingredients and went straight to their apartment. I have opened the door using the keys that Mitsuki handed me (to check on Megumi from time to time). She is not here.
