I could hear the noise of a vacuum cleaner in the distance; I wondered what time was it. I tried to get asleep again but the room was too hot, I took off the blanket and attempted to readjust myself on the bed but the moment I moved I bumped into something and heard a low groan beside me.

I opened my eyes just to see Chan sleeping next to me, shirtless and all his hair messed up. I couldn't help but smile. Just a moment later I realized I was using his arm as a pillow. Where was mine? On the floor for sure. It was just a full-sized bed so with the two of us in there, there was not much room left.

Memories from last night flashed in my mind making me blush a little bit.

"C'mon, you're old enough for this", I told to myself in my head. "I should wash my face", was my second thought.

I got up carefully trying not to wake Chan up and quickly washed and brushed my teeth. It crossed my mind to do some light makeup but I told myself it was stupid, he had already seen me bared-faced first thing in the morning to start with.

I was about to get back into bed when it occurred to me that it would be nice if made breakfast for when he woke up. Without much thought, I turned the other way and started making pancakes. Luckily, I still had some fruits left. I guessed he wouldn't have them with peanut butter and cream if he was on diet.

I was on that when I felt something was missing. Right, music. I went to grab my earphones from my bag and went back to the kitchen to flip the pancakes listening to Seventeen.

Something I always did was cooking while listening to music, I didn't use to do it until I started living with Ella; she would listen to music the whole day doing whatever. It's crazy how you adopt others' behaviors when spending a lot of time together.

I would watch Chan from time to time but he seemed to be dead asleep, so I just took my time and had my own show in the kitchen.

I was making my tower of pancakes when God's Menu started to play, which song was more suitable than that one at the moment? I was dancing to it in tiny, and just when I turned over before the second "DU DU DU DU DU DU"...

"Oh, shit!" I exclaimed grabbing my chest and jumping out scared. Chan started to laugh; he was standing against the wall. "You scared me!"

"I'm sorry", he said still laughing.

"Since when have you been there?"

"Since Cat & Dog". Thank God I didn't bark. That was 2 songs ago, and then I realized you could hear the music over my earphones, it was loud as heck.

"Did I wake you up?" He shook his head. "Ah, why did you not say anything?" I complained now embarrassed. He just chuckled.

"That smells good", he said walking closer.

"I'm making pancakes". I turned over the stove doing the last ones, also trying to hide my red face.

"It smells like vanilla". He stood behind me and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"Ah, I put some vanilla in the batter".

"In the batter?" He asked surprised.

"Yeah, it's sweeter that way. But I made normal ones if you don't like it".

"Ah... you didn't have to". He stood there for a minute while I flipped the last one and placed it on the plate with the others.

"What are you doing today?" I adventured to ask turning around; he didn't move an inch.

"Hm..." He looked at the ceiling like thinking about what he had scheduled while placing his hands on the counter leaving me in between. "I'm meeting some friends in the afternoon".
